About the Author

Joe M. Allen III serves as the Chair of Missions and Evangelism at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He earned his Ph.D. in Applied Theology from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and his Th.M. in World Missions and Historical Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary. He also holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the University of Georgia. From 2007 to 2021, Joe and his family served with the IMB in South Asia in Muslim and Hindu contexts. He is married to Christy, and they have two children, Claire and Joe IV.
