This book is a fixture on my kitchen counter when the weather gets cool. We have so many pages flagged for our permanent dinner rotation. I especially love the one-pot dinners and 5-ingredient recipes chapters in the back of the book.

I love to use my slow cooker, but these recipes were not for me. Too many of them used prepared soups and such, and although that may make it more appealing for some, I prefer more basic ingredients and healthier meals.

This is a large book of recipes for sure, but SLOW COOKER, NO WAY! I agree that it has many variations of recipes as well, but I can only find a handful, at most, of recipes that actually use the Crock Pot! If you're looking for a cookbook for your Crock Pot, this is NOT the one!! As an overall cookbook with many recipes, it is adaquate.

I have investigated about half a dozen cookbooks to use with the new CrockPot I received as a house warming gift and found this one to have both the variety and the quality of recipes I need. Easy to use and very helpful.

After reviewing several cookbooks for slow cookers, this one caught my eye. What it offers above and beyond the others is an an amazing selection of recipes that I didn't find in other books. This cookbook contains many ethnic recipes, which our family loves, including Thai Chicken with Peanut Sauce, Mediterranean Pitas, etc, etc. Other cookbooks I looked at had 40 varieties of pot roast, etc. This book will whet your whistle for creative and easy cooking using your slow cooker! There are Asian, Tex-Mex, Greek, Thai, and more-based recipes. It also grabbed my attention because it has several vegetarian recipes (we aren't big beef eaters, which is what I found in other slow cooker cookbooks). It also has a section for 5 ingredients or less, and another for one dish meals. I've never been so excited about a cookbook and to start using my slow cooker on a regular basis. I definitely recommend this book to those looking for something beyond the usual "pot roast" crock pot dinners!
