Meet the Author

Chef Devin Alexander, author of Fast Food Fix, specializes in creating delicious, flavorful, low-fat makeovers of many popular foods. She has shared her recipes with television audiences on The Biggest Loser, Good Morning America, The View, HGTV's Smart Solutions, Discovery Health's National Body Challenge, and more. Her recipes have also appeared in numerous publications, including Prevention, Shape, Men's Fitness, Men's Health, and Women's Health, where she is a contributing food editor. She lives in Los Angeles.

Karen Kaplan is an accomplished food and travel writer and editor. She has a Grand Diplome from La Varenne Ecole de Cuisine in Paris, France. A restaurant critic for newspaper and radio for 13 years and an editor, writer, and recipe developer for Bon Appétit for 20 years, Karen is also the author of The Thermador Oven Cookbook. She lives in Studio City, California.

Bob Harper, trainer on The Biggest Loser, has traveled the world, empowering millions and sharing his successful holistic approach to fitness and weight loss. Based on the NBC hit show "The Biggest Loser," this colorful cookbook is a plus to anybody's library that is trying to lose weight or even just eat healthy. The promise of the book is that eating healthy can be quick and delicious AND it doesn't have to mean bland, tasteless food- and the book delivers.

Readers will find a short review of the Biggest Loser's way to lose weight- which is sensible- you eat right and exercise. Then comes the heart of the book- over 100 recipes for the various meals like breakfast, snacks, etc. And unlike a lot of cookbooks, each recipe shows you exactly how many calories, fat grams, protein grams, carb grams, fiber grams, sodium, and cholesterol it contains- which is nice for a wide variety of other populations such as those with diabetes, high blood pressure, or heart disease.

A sensible and practical cookbook, a lot of people will probably get their money's worth. Also recommend Treat Your Own Rotator Cuff if a shoulder problem keeps you from getting all the benefits of lifting weights.

I'm really into cooking and so when I decided to change the way I was eating I thought I'd give this a try. The receipes in this book are easy, the ingredientrs were easy and the meals were great! I would highly recomnend this book!

I am a big fan of the show and I love many of the recipes they feature on the show. I did not realize that the recipes in this book were by the contestants and not those featured on the show. But nevertheless, the recipes are still very good and are easy to make. They are broken down into section, include many color photos and the stories by the contestants are inspiring. I do wish this book included either more information than the scant 2 pages they give about how to eat during the day or included meal plans for days. Overall a good cookbook for anyone looking for healthy recipes.

I found this book to be one of the best out of all of the Biggest Loser's books. This book actually had recipes that were tasty and not too expensive. The recipes were actually easy to follow and prepare. I would tell anyone that is thinking of purchasing a cookbook for losing weight and eating healthy to make this book their first purchase. This book has a permament spot on my kitchen counter.

We love this book. We are all on a diet in my house and this book, and the famuily biggest loser cookbook, are my go to receipes. They are easy to make and most of them are quite tasty. I like the information on calories and fat content. Plus the tips are good too! I love the show and the books are a nice way to feel like you can participate along with the contestants. Keep up the good work!

Just like to let everyone know that this book is GREAT!! Easy to read and the ingredients are so easy to get. The Almost fried Rice and the New Orleans rubbed Chicked are now a weekly delight in my home. I've never tried butter-nut squash, and that too is now in by diet.
