Constable Kathryn Brown is a trailblazer, a change-maker, and a beacon of strength and compassion. As the first African American female Constable in Bexar County—and only the third African American female Constable elected in Texas history—she continues to break barriers, paving the way for future generations of women in law enforcement.

With 24 years of service at the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, where she rose to the rank of Sergeant, and now as the elected Constable of Precinct 4, Constable Brown has remained steadfast in her mission to build trust, compassion, and connection between law enforcement and the community. Her leadership is grounded in a commitment to service, integrity, and empathy, believing that true change happens when we lead with heart.
