Editorial Reviews

From Barnes & Noble
Is it too late to turn your health around, cleanse decades of toxic buildup from your liver, and start metabolizing fat like a teenager again? Not according to Bill Frank, who has been teaching people to turn back the clock for decades. His advice for restoring vim and vigor ranges from the obvious (vitamin supplements, proper exercise) to the unconventional (coffee enemas). It's important to understand that these age-defying techniques are not quick fixes, but a few healthy lifestyle changes are a small sacrifice for feeling youthful well into your golden years.
Publishers Weekly
The subtitle alone is enough to make many readers peruse this volume, and Frank's enthusiasm for the subject of staying young permeates each chapter. Much of his advice, including suggestions for exercising, weight training and drinking sufficient water, is sound-but nothing that readers couldn't find in any health or fitness magazine. Frank, who hosts the television program Forever Young, recommends a diet that is 60% protein, 30% carbohydrate and 10% fat, and suggests distilled water fasts for up to 72 hours. The only warning on this topic comes when Frank mentions that he sometimes fasts for 96 hours, but that he does "not recommend this to anyone reading this book, without first having a consultation with a physician." The chapters on hormone therapy and live cell therapy have input from physicians, but are really only cursory discussions of serious subjects. As friendly encouragement to live life to the fullest and stay healthy, this book succeeds, but in its overly wide array of topics-and resulting lack of deep coverage of complicated subjects-it tries to do too much. Meet the Author

Born in Columbus, Ohio, sixty years ago, Bill Frank brings his youthful enthusiasm, vitality, and vigor to all endeavors that he undertakes. Bill wants to help people become aware of what it takes to make their health span equal to their life span — it is his belief that many people choose to live into their fifties, but then only exist, with the help of science, into their eighties and nineties.

His television show, Bill Frank's Forever Young, and his Forever Young line of products focus on anti-aging practices. He emphasizes remaining young in mind, young in body, and young in spirit. Bill intends to become the leader in creating an awareness of how every man and woman can reach the highest levels of optimum health in the fight against unnatural aging.

Finally a man walks the talk and can communicate it to everyone.

Bill Frank has been living and practicing healthy aging before the term "anti-aging" was even thought of. Bill has used his body as his laboratory and is walking evidence of how to take care of yourself. This book is easy for anyone to read. It is not meant to serve as a medical textbook. Areas where Bill did not have expertise were written by medical doctors. For example the chapter on memory is very well written, so that everyone can understand the brain and memory. As far as minor faults, he should have removed the plug for Cenegenics Medical Institute which is markedly over rated, overpriced and elitist, and certainly is not Bill's approach to healthy aging.

Much better than I thought it would be!!!!

I had anticipated that this book would be the same as all of the others that I have read in my quest to maintain my youthful look and feel, however I was absolutely shocked. Typically the books I have read have one or two chapters that contain content that I can relate too, considering people my age (35) generally do not think about the aging process yet. I sit at a desk, but do not want to look and feel like I do. This insightful and personal way that the auther addresses not only ideas that help me in the long run, but things I can do to change me here and now. I have every belief that if I try these techniques, I will remain Forever Young. A must read for anyone that wants to LIVE life at its best.
