Billboard Top Pop Hits: 1960

Editorial Reviews

All Music Guide - Cub Koda
Another entry into Billboard's chart hits series, this time examining the biggies from 1960. It was a time of novelty hits with tracks like Brian Hyland's "Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini" and Larry Verne's "Mr. Custer." It was also a period when the rockabilly looniness of the Fendermen's "Mule Skinner Blues" battled it out with drippy fare such as "I'm Sorry" by Brenda Lee, "Teen Angel" by Mark Dinning, and "A Thousand Stars" by Kathy Young and the Innocents for chart action.
