All Music Guide - Stephen Thomas Erlewine
Billboard Top Rock & Roll Hits: 1962-1966 combines five discs from Rhino's Billboard series in one slipcase. Anyone who already owns the original discs doesn't need this box set, but this is a nice way to get all five discs at one time, especially since they offer a good cross-section of pop, rock & roll and R&B hits from the early '60s. Among the featured hits are "Green Onions," "Duke of Earl," "Soldier Boy," "The Wanderer," "Breaking Up Is Hard to Do," "Johnny Angel," "Palisades Park," "He's So Fine," "It's My Party," "If You Wanna Be Happy," "Louie Louie," "My Boyfriend's Back," "Bread and Butter," "Under the Boardwalk," "I Get Around," ...
