Lila Carmichael is a good girl, a high-achieving academic, punctual to a fault, unfailingly conscientious – and embarrassingly inexperienced. After graduating from Princeton, Lila moves to New York City and begins her job search. Innocent and naïve, she is swept away by an uncharacteristic bloom of total abandon as soon as she meets the tall, dark-eyed CEO of Wolfe Enterprises. Under Alexander’s potent influence, Lila undergoes a thorough transformation from demure virgin to lusty goddess in just two days. Given her upbringing, it’s only natural that Lila would be attracted to such a pinnacle of stability, but as emotion and lust entwine, she begins to question the motives behind her covetous, hedonistic desires.

Alexander Wolfe needs a new assistant to help him run his publishing empire. One résumé in particular catches his eye and he decides to interview the candidate one-on-one in his private penthouse office. When a green-eyed goddess walks in, Alexander, for the first time in his life, finds himself powerless to resist. The difficulties of his past ensure that his protective instincts are fiercely attuned, and Lila’s vulnerabilities, combined with her nubile body and voracious new appetites, only succeed in ensnaring Alexander past the point of no return.

Set in New York and Paris, Lila and Alexander’s connection is a whirlwind of lust, love, jealousy and obsession. Will they find their happily ever after?

Sexy in all the right ways I fell head over heels for these characters. The chemistry between Lila and Alexander is very palpable, I couldn’t wait for them to get together. Thank goodness I didn’t have to wait long! The sexy scenes were hot and descriptive without feeling over the top or rushed. I really enjoyed reading this novel and had a hard time putting it down. My favorite aspect is how eager the two lovers are to please each other in bed, and how they go about it. Those passages got pretty steamy and gave me some good ideas to try with my husband. Next time I’m in the market for a hot book I’ll definitely check out this author’s other novels. For now I’m going to re-read part 3 a few more times…

Lila Carmichael had finished college and was looking for a job. She has an interview at a publishing firm. From the moment she walks into this sexy, gorgeous billionaire's office, she was lost in him. Alexander Wolfe, billionaire, sees Lila and the search for an assistant is over. He hires her on the spot, does her on the spot and the obsession begins. I understand the past that Alexander's had and how obsessed he is with keeping those he cares about safe but his obsession with Lila was OCD. They had an obsession with each other that always ended with sex. You have to remember that this is erotica and there will be a lot of sex. A good sex scene is amazing and there were a few AMAZING scenes in this book but too many becomes monotonous. The characters were great and the story line kept me entranced but I did find myself skimming over some of the sex scenes. One of the most AMAZING erotic non-BDSM scenes took place in Paris. I'll be thinking of that one for a while. Ultra HOT! Juliette Jones is a master of erotica! This book had a fantastic ending and that's also very important to me. I'm hooked and I can't wait to read more from this very talented author. Received a copy in exchange for an honest review.

Lila Carmichael is a fresh-faced new graduate looking for work in New York City. She lands an interview at Skyscraper magazine, a trendy publications that is just a small part of Alexander Wolfe’s massive publishing empire. Lila is interviewed by Alexander who hires her as his administrative assistant on the spot. Seized by an overwhelming mutual lust, Alexander and Lila immediately begin their whirlwind romance. From the bright lights of New York City to the old world charm of Paris, Alexander and Lila’s passion for one another ignites into a lascivious relationship that toes the line between love and obsession. I’m a little torn by this novel. On one hand, although there is little plot to speak of, what is there kept me glued to my e-reader wondering what was going to happen next. Alexander and Lila, despite having just met one another, fall in love quickly and they are sweet and protective towards one another. Alexander’s overwhelming need to keep Lila safe was endearing (until he took it a little too far). I also enjoyed the dual perspective style – a little bit of what’s going on inside Lila’s head and then a little bit of what was going on inside Alexander’s head. This helps explain (but not excuse) some of the less palatable plot points that come up later in the book. On the other hand, there isn’t much to say in the vein of plot and character development, mostly because this novel is a string of sexual encounters rather than any actual, cohesive plot. That said, the sex scenes are steamy and sensual. Alexander and Lila explore a many different positions and ways to bring each other pleasure. Their encounters are very intense and the dirty talk is almost like something straight out of a porno movie. However, Lila’s transformation from innocent virgin into sultry sex-goddess is unrealistic and towards the end of the novel Alexander exhibits some overly-obsessive traits and behaviors that made me scream at Lila to call the cops. There are also a few other disturbing scenes in this novel that made me almost gag in horror and I didn’t like how Lila kept bringing everything back to money and what Alexander could buy for her. These are not admirable traits and made Lila come off as selfish, shallow, and materialistic, none of which are positive character traits. If you’re looking for an erotica that is primarily sexual encounters with little plot, then pick this up. It’s a decent fantasy read with lots and lots of smut. However, be prepared for characters entering into what appears to be an incredibly unhealthy obsession/relationship and to ignore character inconsistencies. High of anticipation to get to the next part This seven part series builds to a crushing high of hot, steamy, sinful delight. Jones builds on this part series that makes it a high of anticipation to get to the next part. My fave is the alternating POV. Jones give a looking into each of the POV's and not break things down over the top. Alexander and Lila have experienced life to a the max and find more to make it interesting. This is a read that will excite you and make you want to grab the next part immediately, if only to see where it all goes.

What an intriguing tale.  Jones takes a tried and tested premise and gives it one heck of a shake to make it something completely new and all her own.  She gives the entire story a dreamlike quality.  It comes across as a fantasy.  I found the storyline farfetched at times and was caught up in the excitement at others.   Readers really get to know the main characters in this story quite well.  Being told from both points of view, you get to understand not only what’s happening but the motivation behind it.  Between the Freudian slips in the dialogue and the chemistry between the two main characters I couldn’t help but be caught between giggles and gasps.  The supporting cast was minimal, serving little purpose other than to cause jealousy, but they were brilliant at what they did.   Overall, this was a unique read for those looking for something primarily racy, with a bit of a story line.  It will definitely get your pulse racing. Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

This book was an outstanding read! Talk about a steamy whirl-wind romance. The chemistry between these two was incredible. Some may say that a love which borders on obsession is not a good thing and can be scary, but it apparently works for Alexander and Lila. Once these two meet, nothing could keep them apart! The attraction between them was instant and the bond they formed was beautiful. What may have appeared as simple lust at the beginning soon bloomed into so much more. This was my first read by Juliette Jones and I absolutely enjoyed it. She's got a new fan. I highly recommend this book to those of you who haven't read it. I'm sure you'll enjoy it!

When I started reading this book I thought it was a bit too much. Alexander and Lila seemed to have fallen in love at first sight, and from that second on it was sex, sex and more sex. This went on anywhere, anytime, and sometimes in front of others. I really didn’t get the point of having sex with the woman you loved in front of your poker buddies and letting them grope and fondle her. While in Paris they had two lesbians join them, why? I kept reading through this and found I really enjoyed the writing and the great story behind the sex. Alexander and his brother Jake came from very humble beginnings and Lila had plenty in common with Jake. Like Alexander took care of his brother Jake, he took care of Lila and I loved it. This book had a wonderful ending and I love happy endings. I was going to give this book three stars but I feel that four stars is what it really deserves. I recommend this book highly. The next book by this author is Billionaire (book 2) Wild Ride…. I hope it’s about Jake.
