Billy Graham: Candid Conversations with a Public Man
An inside look at the heart of Billy Graham

For thirty years, Billy Graham and David Frost fascinated television audiences with their conversations about God, the Bible, and Graham's decades-long ministry. Frost asked the questions that thousands of viewers wanted to ask. Graham answered them with authenticity and grace.

With engaging honesty, Graham tells stories of his earliest crusades, his involvement in the civil rights movement, and his role as spiritual mentor to several American presidents. He also speaks candidly about his failures and the part suffering and doubt have played in his spiritual life.

With a chronology of Graham's life, a preface from Frost, and a foreword from Graham's grandson Tullian Tchividjian, this weaving of stories, interviews, and reflections will inspire you as you listen to a man who has lived and loved well.

Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher

Reading about my grandfather’s doubts and failures in black and white offers a refreshing view of his life and his relationship with Jesus, and demonstrates the unmerited grace of God for all of us.”
—Tullian Tchividjian, from the Foreword

AUGUST 2014 - AudioFile

This book is a distillation of interviews that David Frost did with evangelist Billy Graham over decades. The content is interesting, revealing, and provocative. But it’s hard to get past the fact that neither Frost nor Graham is actually speaking. With two narrators standing in for such well-known voices, it takes effort to concentrate on the content. Frost’s portion is not even read with a British accent, the result being that references to his English upbringing are harder to relate to. And the Graham portions don’t reflect his gentle North Carolina mountain dialect. The material itself is good and worth the listener’s time. But the presentation fails to realize the potential of the work. R.C.G. © AudioFile 2014, Portland, Maine
