The challenge to be zealous for Christ will emerge from this book, whose ¿quick read¿ format will appeal to young people and others who live in the fast lane. Within the confines of 144 pages of a mass paperback, journalist W. Terry Whalin has captured the story of an ordinary man who yielded to an extraordinary God. He whets one¿s appetite for the longer authorized biographies. Once an editoron the Graham editorial team, Whalin pulls out the stories that show how God trained Graham from his beginnings as a spindly farm boy and energetic college student who sold brushes door to door. One of the most telling recollections comes on p. 31, by the dean of men at Florida Bible College where Graham attended. The man recalls Graham as having, though a mediocre academic record, ¿a zeal to serve Christ that exceeded his knowledge and skill¿ (p. 31). Whalin's book gives a quick view of what happened. We all profit from learning of giants of the faith, and this book and others in this series help fill that need.
