This collection gives a fine overview of Crosby’s work during his peak years as America's best-loved singer. Overflowing with classics from three decades of hits, the four-CD set includes signature songs as well as novelty numbers and duet performances. All Music Guide - Scott Yanow
This four-CD set does a superb job of summing up Bing Crosby's years with Decca. After nine titles from 1931 which were acquired by Decca later on, the program concentrates on the 1934-1957 period and, in addition to the expected hits, all aspects of his career are covered. Despite a few Dixieland-flavored selections, Crosby had largely abandoned jazz by the late '30s, but his phrasing which was influenced by Louis Armstrong and appealing voice should be of interest to jazz listeners. His ballads grew in stature in later years, while the up-tempo performances tended to be less memorable novelties. Although it should be augmented by collections that focus on his recordings of the '20s and early '30s, this is the definitive Bing Crosby set.

    White Christmas, Our Song

On our first date, November 11, 1943, we danced to White Christmas and it has been our song for 60 years. It was played at all the important events of our married life, no matter what time of the year it was. There will never be another Bing Crosby---ever.

White Christmas - is it out there?

I enjoy his music very much, there is hardly anything I don't like, especially his Christmas albums/cd's... Does anyone know where you can get the soundtrack for the movie White Christmas? They offered it for a short time and sent notice it was no longer available. Got any ideas??
