    A reviewer

I loved this book. I work in a library and I have seen young and old react favorably to this book. Wonderful pictures of the birds with text on his bird, and then a bonus...you can actually hear how the bird sounds...hear the songs each bird sings. It makes a wonderful gift too, I have recommended to many friends.

A great book for anyone who has ever wondered what bird they are hearing

My wife and I have a number of bird feeders in our yard and more than a few birds. However, matching a bird call to a particular bird isn't often easy. Now, thanks to this book with its recorded bird calls, we have matched most of the birds in our yard to their songs/calls, with many pleasant surprises. For many years we have heard a bird call with a tropical sound and wondered if some exotic bird had escaped and was living in our neighborhood. We have now placed that bird call with the Pilated Woodpecker, a Crow-sized bird with a tall crimson crest which we have enjoyed watching for many years. Several of our neighbors have been impressed with our sudden knowledge as well. I would like it better if the bird calls were a little quicker to scroll through and the birds listed were a mite easier to locate in the printed portion of the book, but I really don't know how it could be much better for the rather reasonable cost. Great book. Highly recommend!

    A Good Resource for Birders

This is an excellent book that provides a song for every bird. As the introduction states, most of the time we hear birds rather than see them. If we can identify their songs, we can identify the birds. This has been an invaluable help in my learning about the birds in our area.

    Great gift

My son has been interested in birds for many years now and we gave him a copy of this book for his eighth birthday. He has been entertained with this book for hours. Now he is using it to teach his new cockatiel how to mimic songs.

    Cats

We have 2 kittens and they love this book. We play the bird songs and their ears perk up, their eyes get big... they look around the book and just cannot figure it out!

    Great for all ages!

I purchased this book for my 5 year old who is very interested in the birds in our yard and this book holds his attention for quite awhile. The people he has shared it with ( 56 year old neighbor and 66 year old Grandpa) now both want it. I'll be purchasing a second copy for Father's Day!

    Love this book

This book is "spot on" in helping to identify birds and their individual "songs". We have all learned so much about our feathered friends since purchasing this book!
