Great Regional Bird book

Birds of Northern California is a bird book I have been waiting for. This book focuses on the section of California which I live in & only want to study. The large pages give a illustration of each bird, & great text & the range maps let the birders know where the birds are. I recommend this book to all birders, especially beginners so they focus on our region of birds & do not get confused looking through a volumnous book of birds from other regions. I even give this book as gifts to encourage birdwatching!

    Road Trip to Oregon

I recently purchased this book in Mt. Shasta on my way to Redmond, Or. I found it quite useful and educational. I saw a lot of the birds listed and found the Black and Yellow Billed Magpies were very beautiful. Also saw quite a lot of the birds in the Klamoth Falls area.

I would recommend this book to anyone interested in birds.
