This is a very large book. Makes one feel like a kid holding it. Great pics. I teach medieval studies and talk about hawking in Arthurian legends classes. There are plenty of pics here that can be used in class.

The pictures are stunning, and the captions have some really interesting tidbits about the different Raptors pictured.

Our son purchased this for my husband as a gift. He absolutely LOVED it. It is on display on an easel in our living room where he changes the page displayed every couple of weeks. The text tells amazing stories about each of the birds of prey. The photography is breath-taking! Highly recommended for anyone who not only loves birds, and nature, but beautiful photography.

This is a great coffee table book as well as reference. The photography alone is worth the price of the book but then you add the family grouping and the locations. This book is an excellent resource for anyone interested in birds of prey.
