Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Rachel Miller
Birman cats are known for being beautiful. Their fur is always light in color, with a golden look to it. They have dark faces, but white feet. Their eyes are blue and continue to be blue throughout their lifetime. Birman cats are so playful that they are often compared to puppies. It takes three years for the cats to be fully grown. They are medium-sized cats. The Birman fur needs to be brushed a couple of times a week to keep its silky look. The text of this book is repetitive to make the difficult-to-read words easier for the reader. This is explained in an introductory note for parents and teachers. Readers who want help defining difficult words will appreciate the book's glossary. Connie Colwell Miller encourages the reader to learn more about cats by providing a list of other books and Internet sites. This is part of the "Cats" series. Reviewer: Rachel Miller
