Overview

Children are perhaps Walt Disney World's biggest fans. On playgrounds and in classrooms, there's always excited talk about who went to Walt Disney World and what they did each day-or minute. It has become almost a rite of passage to visit America's most popular travel destination, and kids can be wonderful sources of information.
Every area and attraction of Walt Disney World is covered, with kids' honest reactions and impressions included. There is a whole chapter devoted to each of the theme parks: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom. Another chapter describes the rest of Walt Disney World, including Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon, Fort Wilderness, Downtown Disney, and dining spots with kid appeal.

The book is updated annually, and the 2010 edition features new tips and advice from junior Disney Experts; kid-oriented descriptions of what's what at Walt Disney World-including all the newest shows and attractions; pointers on finding healthy treats and sweets-and of course, pizza-at Walt Disney World; and a reader-demanded, newly-expanded section about Disney World resorts. Now kids can help plan the family vacation!

We buy a copy for every Disney trip!

We buy a copy of Walt Disney World for Kids for my 6 yr old daughter for each Disney trip we take. She loves helping to plan which attractions she wants to see and she is always excited about a different attraction for each trip. She loves the pictures and reading the silly comments from other kids. The only thing I am not crazy about with this book are the little icons deeming rides "Scary", "Dark", "Loud", "Rough", or "Wet", which I always have to cover up with stickers. My daughter is on the low end of the Autism Spectrum, and she will believe anything she reads, rather than making up her own opinion. For example, she thinks Haunted Mansion is hilarious, but if she believed this book she would think it was "Dark & Scary."

A must have book for travel to Disney with kids!

I take each of my grandchildren to Disney when they are 6 years old and have given each of them this book before we leave. They love the pictures and activities and the maps really help us plan each day. While at the resort each night, we get the book back out to make an itinerary for the next day. It has helped us organize everything from where to eat, what to ride and what we want to see. I wouldn't plan a trip to Disney without a new copy of Birnbaum's Walt Disney World for Kids! It's a great resource for anyone who wants to get the most out of a visit to Walt Disney World!

    Bought for my daughter

Bought this for my daughter whose last trip was at 3 1/2, so she doesn't remember it. This book has helped to know what to expect. She loves it and my 4 year olds love the pictures too. Helps to get everyone in the "Disney" Mood!!! I have the adult version so it is nice to read together.
