My children all loved the Russell and Lillian Hoban books about Frances the Badger, especially my daughters -- and now my grandchildren are enjoying these fine books, too. The stories, told with humor and insight, make subtle points about sharing or kindness or responsibility. Great bedtime stories to be read aloud to pre-schooler!!!

A Birthday for Frances is my all time favorite book! My siblings & I even have an on-going joke about Chompo bars. Our kids (cousins) even know the chompo bar song. I wish I could find the record that came with this book. I can still hear all the characters in my head. Great children's book, a must read!

I had a show & tell (the tv like machine that played records as you read along or you could play a slide strip with the record) and this was my favorite book!
