Biscuit and the Little Pup (My First I Can Read Series)by Alyssa Satin Capucilli, Pat Schories
Will Biscuit ever get the little pup to come play with him?
Children's Literature - Marilyn CourtotBiscuit is playing ball with his mistress and when he nears a play house, he finds a little pup hiding inside. Both his mistress and Biscuit try to entice the little pup to come out to play. The ball does not do it nor does the bone. Biscuit has an ideahe decides to play hide-and-seek and finally the little pup comes out of the play house. Then the owner of the little pup shows up and both kids are reunited with their puppies. The illustrations are attractive and the puppies have similar expressions and shaped faces even though they are different sizes and colors. It is an innocuous story and part of the "My First Reading" series in the larger "I Can Read!" series. Reviewer: Marilyn Courtot
