Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature
The day is bright with snow and Biscuit is going outside with his mistress to play. They are joined by the neighboring kids and together make a giant snowman. Biscuit, as always, is helpful, bringing the scarf to wrap around the snowman's neck. After that activity the kids make snow angels and Biscuit decides to make a snow puppy. The outing ends with a return home to some warm cocoa and treats in front of a nice warm fire. Perhaps not a typical outing for most kids on a snow day, but one that can be enjoyed anyway. Part of the "Biscuit" series. 2005, HarperFestival/HarperCollins, Ages 2 to 4.
—Marilyn Courtot

    Wonderful Series

I cannot say enough about the Biscuit series. My daughter just loves them. She is so motivated to read Biscuit books! Keep them coming!

Cute, but the story line is weak.

I wanted a cute book about snow and this one fits that description. The illustrations are lovely. There are too many words and they don't match the pictures as much as I like in a "board book" type book. Showing the dogs in a sled makes the book unsuitable for a 4-6 year old who might try it. This is my first book in the series and I won't be checking out the rest.

    Bad writing.

A little girl asks the dog a question on every page, like lets do this, and the dog makes a normal dog response. Very underwhelming. No rhyming. Incredibly boring. Okay illustrations.
