Overview

NOTE: This set contains the entire Bishop and Louise story line, and is suitable for gift giving. Your friends and family will NOT have to spend more money or wait months to find out the ending!
Book One: The entire hidden magical world is in danger from an unknown foe. Former SAS commando (now daytime bodyguard to a powerful vampire) Bishop, and his team of three devious and mischievous Pixies are the 'ace in the hole' for the magical world. Together they make up a most unexpected, improbable and hilarious combat team. Follow their adventures as they travel the world, find love, steal tiger cubs, and uncover the true nature of this threat in an exciting new series!

Book Two: Bishop and his team of devious Pixies team up with the world's most powerful magical creatures in a desperate race to save the world from complete annihilation. Follow them from the secret caverns of Gibraltar to the Libyan Desert as this first adventure comes to a shocking end. NOTE- This book is intentionally rated PG or better and is kid friendly, and meant to be fun and funny. Sit back, pull up a cat and have fun! (This volume concludes the Bishop and Louise story line - but is certainly NOT the last you will hear from the Pixies - look for the first Pixie Sequel "Rise of the PixieNet" in 2013.)

Meet the Author

Nat lives in Maine with his wife Andi, two of their three daughters and a one eyed cat. All of them serve the true owner of their house, Albert the Shih Tzu.

Pixies are quite real. While this account is a work of fiction, and all the normal disclaimers are carefully included I would advise you not to believe for one moment that this applies to Pixies. Such a cavalier attitude can be hazardous. (I just thought I would give you fair warning).
The Pixies depicted in this book have spent the last several months looking over my shoulder and nagging me to write faster. Only the periodic release of a few sample paragraphs has spared my house from being raided, painted with polka dots, or rearranged upside down.
They have assured me that if I continue to write this series, I and my family will remain safe. Please buy this book and encourage your friends to also do so. I have children and pets. The Pixies mean what they say and, quite honestly, scare the crap out of me.

Hilarious fun - well written and captivating. Excellent! The pixies are charmingly loony and Bishop and Louise's romance is sweet and kid friendly. Loaded with oddball characters, tension and excitement. How refreshing to find a complete story instead of a never ending series - perfect gift! Nobody will have to wait for months to enjoy the ending of their gift!

Bishop and the Pixies, Book One, The Hunt Begins This book is an exciting and fun adventure full of humor, mischievous pixies, with a sweet romance and military action. Butler Bishop is the day protector to a powerful vampire, and the leader of an elite group of soldiers and three very willful pixies. When Bishop learns of a security threat to the magical world, his team sets out to battle the unknown enemy. He meets an intriguing woman, Louise Wilson, whom he is instantly attracted to. She immediately becomes involved in their mission. I absolutely loved this book. I found the story refreshing, fun and totally entertaining. The troublesome pixies are a constant source of amusement. I had a blast reading about their adventure. I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading more about Bishop and the Pixies, and his elite combat group. I loved Willoughby and Melanthorpe. The book Bishop and the Pixies Book Two "Revenge for Louise" is full of adventure, military maneuvers, mischievous pixies, mystical creatures of all kinds and a sweet romance. The humor is the kind that you will make you laugh out loud and often. Bishop is a unique person and the people and creatures that surround him are so entertaining that you want to spend the time to get to know them more. I felt great reading this book. It lifted my spirits and made me laugh so many times. I loved the pixies and the soldiers in Bishops Army. All of them. If you want to have a fun time reading. Pick this book up. I promise you will have a laugh and enjoy the time spent with Bishop and the Pixies. The adventure that they embark upon is exciting and fulfilling and picks up where the first book left off. There are tense moments where the action gets going, military maneuvers are planned and executed. When pixies are involved anything can happen. This book is family friendly. I highly recommend that you purchase the box set so that you have both books.

All of the Pixie books are well written, funny, and jam-packed with adventure, the paranormal, and a bit of romance. What more can a bibliophile want? Except more in this witty series.

Light and entertaining read: the characters are not overly developed but the action flows smoothly.

This author's books belong in an exalted category of books I would buy just on the strength of the name alone, regardless of the genre or storyline. His writing is tight and professional, and despite the outrageously fantastical premise, he makes it all seem perfectly normal to be a methuselah ex-SAS commando bodyguard, interacting, sometimes extremely violently, with the world of vampires, magic, Pixies and aliens. I am somewhat reminded of "American Gods" by Neil Gaiman as a similarly supremely satisfying read with vaguely similar themes (Gods and magic), suspense, excitement and humor. It takes a special kind of writer to take such disparate themes and weld them so effectively into a spellbinding and immersive story such as this. I just hope Mr. Parkinson sees fit to continue with such ambitious and out of the box writing in the future. Highly recommended.
