I have read this book and loved every page! I have since recommended it to many of my friends. The writing style is fun, playful and fresh. I love that the author includes recommendations at all "budget levels". Being on a budget means something different to everyone and this book includes it all, whether we're talking about what to buy at Target or more expensive (but worthwhile!) hose. A great resource to have around when you're trying to decide whether a purchase is worth the splurge!

A very well writte and witty book that keeps you interested from the first word on. Especially for today it's so relevant. The author really gives voice to her generation.

Someone recommended the book to me and I wasn't sure what to expect but it is awesome! There's some great tips for lots of different subjects and for people who have all different budgets. The author is witty and very funny which makes the book really easy to read. I have told others about the book and they have also really enjoyed it. Highly recommended!

This little book is absolutely jam-packed with great advice for anyone who values her time and money. In fact, even a guy could benefit from many of the insider tips and astute appraisals (just ask my husband!). The content is organized in a way that makes it easy to use as a reference book. While working on an upcoming vacation earlier today, I perused the Travel section once again, where I had turned down corners and highlighted various websites to investigate.
My favorite chapters were the ones on clothing and travel, which coincide with my passions. However, there wasn't a single chapter without at least three or four suggestions that I plan to explore. Costco, Target and sample sales online, here I come!

This is a smooth and edgy read at the end of which you may safely unlock your shopping chastity belt and hit the pavement saving! I laughed, resonated to shopping pitfalls, and learned how to modify my eyes to fit my appetites and budget. Hoffman's 322 page book left me hungry for more. Ladies, close your purse until you open your eyes and read this transforming shopping bible.

My car finally died last week (it was on its last legs for ages). Lucky for me I was in the middle of reading this book! All I can say is THANK HEAVEN. I took the author's advice about cars and didn't let myself get suckered. A fun read, with surprisingly useful stuff.

This book is a fun read and is filled with fabulous tips that you really will use. I keep referring to it for advice on travel, shopping, eating, etc. It's not a book to read once; it's a terrific reference tool to keep coming back to.

I picked up this book on a lark--it was sort of buried in the shelves--and as I scanned it at the store I was captivated! I don't often say this about a book, but it really spoke to me. It was funny, edgy and completely absorbing. If you're a smart woman who wants to hear what another smart woman has to say about life, kids, shopping, travel, cooking and a host of other subjects, this is the one for you! Needless to say, I bought it right away and have since passed it along to my sister.

I highly recommend this book. A friend recommended it to me a few weeks ago, and I picked it up today thinking I would give it to my sister for a belated xmas present. But when I got home and was about to wrap it, I sat down and started reading through it...and I couldn't put it down! I sat there for hours - it's just hilarious, with lots of great tips (especially now that it's sale season and the author taught me all about how to understand sales cycles and markdowns!). I'm a huge foodie, so the chapter with all the recipes was awesome. All of them were so cheap and easy but looked delicious. This book is snarky and straightforward without making you feel bad about yourself (like a lot of other books out there I've read!)...just for average women trying to look stylish but with less money to spend. I am definitely keeping this copy for myself and will pick up a couple more for my sister and my mom in the next few days...highly recommend this - its funny and smart with lots of useful info!
