Meet the Author

1/29/14 I wrote Chapter 1 of Volume 7, the last book in the Blue Series today. After receiving numerous emails and facebook posts from readers saying the same thing: the ending in Volume 6, True Blue, left many of them asking, "What happened to the main characters?" I left the ending like this for two reasons: first, I wanted to end the story with an open interpretation, hoping the reader could take the story to wherever he/she wanted it to go. Second, I wanted to eventually get back to the story in time, if I ever had the inkling to continue some of the storyline in the distant future. Now that I've received many readers' critiques and inquiries about the story's ending, I feel as though I need to answer the questions and give those interested a sense of completion to my series (and I'm very flattered by the way, to know that I've reached out and touched some of you with my story). So, I should have Volume 7 published by Summer, 2014 and then it's onto another fun writing project :)"We are all apprentices in a craft where no one ever becomes a master.” —Ernest HemingwayMy Email: jdillon2003@msn.com Please write me a message if you want, I'd love to hear from you.Bio: As a novice writer, I wrote the first three books from The Blue Series during the years 2006 through 2009. I wrote Into The Blue over a six month period in 2012 and have recently finished Back To Blue, Volume 5 a few months ago. I am currently writing the seventh book in the series if you count Beyond The Blue as two books.I grew up in Oceanside, California, attended and survived Vista High School, and did attempt twice in one lonely summer, to drown at Oceanside Beach. I desperately wanted to be a boy as a child and teenager and envied my two brothers for their gender. I was considered a loner, didn't have any friends, so I created the story as a means of escape. It worked most of the time and I have to admit, it kept me out of trouble.

    Great book in the series

I find this one to be the most exciting of the books released, though the transitions could use some work, I give it the credit it deserves.

    Ok

The saying is "for all intents and purposes"....not "for all intensive purposes". There are many of these types of errors in these books. But very good reading.
    Its "mote" not "mot""
    Oh....so many
    Recommend though. DM

    The Blue series

This is a series of books and the author did a great job. It's a unique story line and the characters grow and evolve as the story continues. I'm not sure why people leave negative reviews without constructive criticism. It's ok though because its their loss.

Desperately needs editing & annoying obsession with side profiles!

This review pertains to all the books in the series so far. These books are interesting and are good stories...but after reading this 4th book...many small things are really grating on me! The grammatical errors are very distracting! They have been consistently present in all of the books so far. They are not typos since the same words are repeatedly used (& spelled) incorrectly. It makes me wonder if they've been proofread at all. A good editor would really make these books much better. I love a good long book...but the length of these are excessive and so much useless stuff could be edited out to improve these books greatly! At times the story just gets lost & it seems like the writer becomes confused. (& writes literally every word that pops into her head, so it often seems like an unedited first draft) In spite of being a good, interesting story so far...so many things are annoying me that its making me start to not really care what happens to these characters. I'm not convinced the writer really even knows her characters or who they are...they are so inconsistent and all over the place! And WHAT IS THE DEAL WITH THE OBSESSION WITH "SIDE PROFILES"??????? It came to my attention in the first book and the number of times someone looked at...or noticed...or gazed upon...or admired...or took in...or stared at...someone's side profile was utterly ridiculous! I had hoped that by the second book it would have been pointed out by someone (editor??? anyone???) and resolved. But...unfortunately it has gotten even more prevalent...thousands of pages of "checking out side profiles" makes me want to vomit as much as Dillon! (& that is a LOT by the way...seriously this kid should weigh 50 pounds by now!) I am undecided as to whether or not I will finish this series...which is a shame because there is a talented writer with good stories lost underneath all this mess! Proofread! & Edit! Edit! Edit!...please? (And ditch the side profiles!!!)
