Meet the Author

"We are all apprentices in a craft where no one ever becomes a master.” —Ernest Hemingway 7/19/16 Blue Dawn Part 1 is now available for FREE, along with the Blue Series for a limited time. I normally would not say this, but PLEASE do not read Blue Dawn if you haven't already read the Blue Series because I don't backtrack much in the storyline. DO NOT READ ANYMORE IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE BLUE SERIES AND PLAN ON READING IT. *******SPOILER ALERT!!!************** Blue Dawn Part 1 will encompass the 22 years' time near the end of Volume 8, Blue Flame, when Azmodeus and Gabriel get sent to live as human hybrids. The book starts with Dillon in Nine and ends with David and Louis at the Oceanside Pier. I will be starting Blue Dawn Part 2 later this month, with a tentative release date for Christmas, 2016. After that, I will take a break from writing because I need one. These books are my life's work, and as such, I have not lived much outside my head since I started writing them. 2/18/16 Beyond The Blue, The Blue Series Volume 2 is split into two books, Part 1 and Part 2. Please do not miss it when you download the others. There are NINE books total in the Blue Series, but this book has not been grouped with the rest of them. 8/18/15 Hello Everyone! I wanted to let all potential readers of The Blue Series know (hopefully before they read a book of mine), a few important points before deciding to embark on my story. First: My entire series deals with God and humanity. He is an interwoven theme in the books, more so towards the end in Vol 7 and 8, but nonetheless, God is a very important character in my series. With that said, if you do not feel comfortable reading about my version of Him, please do not read my series. Good versus evil is a major play between some of my characters therefore, God has to be involved. Secondly, My books are listed as dark fantasy, but I've also listed them in the LGBT section because there is both straight and gay sex in my series. Book 1 and 2, not so much, but it does heat up as the series goes along, however this series is NOT gay or straight erotica. If that is what you are all looking for, there are PLENTY of books out there to choose from. And speaking of sex, my main characters are teenagers, and yes, they are placed in adult situations. They grow up in this series, which is why the first two books are limited in terms of the sexual content because obviously they are young. If this makes you uncomfortable, please do not read the series. Lastly, there is bondage, rape, sexual violence, regular violence, profanity, and dark themes in this series. You may not see much in Volume 1, but trust me, it is dark. Please do not read this series if any of that offends you. Visit my fb Under The Blue page: https://www.facebook.com/Under-The-Blue-248116111899894/ My Email: josidill87@yahoo.com Please write me a message if you want, I'd love to hear from you. Bio: The story for The Blue Series was first created in my head as a teenager growing up in Oceanside, California during the mid-eighties. After graduating from SDSU as a registered nurse, I married, had two children, and raised a family after relocating to Boise, Idaho where I currently reside. After so many years had passed, one day I decided to write a single page of the story. It then turned into a novel. Not realizing the story was so big, I wrote a second Volume. Forced to split Volume 2 into two parts due to its size, I continued to write Volumes 3 and 4 during the years 2006 through 2009, but the story still wasn't finished. After taking a break, I wrote Volumes 5 through 8 in the last two years, completing the series in late 2014.

really enjoyed this series, was a little disappointed at the end. Got so involved with characters, was sad when story ended.

I find this one to be the most exciting of the books released, though the transitions could use some work, I give it the credit it deserves.

The saying is "for all intents and purposes"....not "for all intensive purposes". There are many of these types of errors in these books. But very good reading. Its "mote" not "mot"" Oh....so many Recommend though. DM

This is a series of books and the author did a great job. It's a unique story line and the characters grow and evolve as the story continues. I'm not sure why people leave negative reviews without constructive criticism. It's ok though because its their loss.

This review pertains to all the books in the series so far. These books are interesting and are good stories...but after reading this 4th book...many small things are really grating on me! The grammatical errors are very distracting! They have been consistently present in all of the books so far. They are not typos since the same words are repeatedly used (& spelled) incorrectly. It makes me wonder if they've been proofread at all. A good editor would really make these books much better. I love a good long book...but the length of these are excessive and so much useless stuff could be edited out to improve these books greatly! At times the story just gets lost & it seems like the writer becomes confused. (& writes literally every word that pops into her head, so it often seems like an unedited first draft) In spite of being a good, interesting story so far...so many things are annoying me that its making me start to not really care what happens to these characters. I'm not convinced the writer really even knows her characters or who they are...they are so inconsistent and all over the place! And WHAT IS THE DEAL WITH THE OBSESSION WITH "SIDE PROFILES"??????? It came to my attention in the first book and the number of times someone looked at...or noticed...or gazed upon...or admired...or took in...or stared at...someone's side profile was utterly ridiculous! I had hoped that by the second book it would have been pointed out by someone (editor??? anyone???) and resolved. But...unfortunately it has gotten even more prevalent...thousands of pages of "checking out side profiles" makes me want to vomit as much as Dillon! (& that is a LOT by the way...seriously this kid should weigh 50 pounds by now!) I am undecided as to whether or not I will finish this series...which is a shame because there is a talented writer with good stories lost underneath all this mess! Proofread! & Edit! Edit! Edit!...please? (And ditch the side profiles!!!)
