Overview

The greatest opponent a martial artist faces is pain. This pain might manifest from a traumatic injury or from years of high physical activity. Whether a martial artist can continue his practice may be determined by his ability to cope with injuries and heal quickly. As a martial artist, Dr. Nelson has experienced his share of injuries, ranging from a torn meniscus to broken ribs.

Using the layout of a dojo as a methaphor for the workings of the mind, Dr. Nelson explains how hypnosis can help a martial artist deal effectively with chronic or severe pain. Dr. Nelson explains the weapons that are readily available to anyone for fighting the negative energies of pain and regaining their health. Dr. Nelson also provides a series of self-guided visualizations, designed specifically for martial artists, helping the martial artist invoke their own healing abilities, allowing them to return to the dojo and continue to practice their chosen martial arts discipline.
