He loves her blood, but does her love her?!

R to L (Japanese Style). He loves her blood, but does her love her?!

There is a world of myth and magic that intersects ours, and only a special few can see it. Misao Harada is one such person, and she wants nothing to do with magical realms. She just wants to have a normal high school life and maybe get a boyfriend. All that changes one day when Misao is attacked by a demon. Her childhood friend Kyo suddenly returns to save her and tend to her cuts—with his tongue! It turns out Misao is the bride of prophecy, whose blood gives power to the demon clan who claims her. But most demons want to keep her power for themselves—by eating her! Now Misao is just trying to stay alive...and decide if she likes it when Kyo licks her wounds.

Volume 4: Despite the constant danger Misao finds herself in, she's determined to stay by Kyo's side no matter what happens. But a chance meeting with one of Kyo's best friends shows her just how hard a human-demon relationship can be. Tadanobu, heir to the Kitsune clan, gave up everything to be with his human girlfriend. But now he is being forced to take on the clan leadership and abandon his love—and it's all Kyo's fault!

For those Shojo fans who haven't gotten hooked yet, there's still a chance to catch up and become a fan of Kanoko Sakurakoji's lovely but naughty tale of romance and danger, Black Bird! This volume continues to question what will happen when Misao marries Kyo, will she be spirited away or live peacefully with him? Will she still be able to enjoy the lives of her friends and family members or never see them again? Unfortunately, those questions are not answered within this volume, much to my and many readers displeasure, but many new, interesting relationships emerge in this volume, that allow a greater understanding of all the forces that affect Kyo and Misao's relationship. As with the other volumes, the artwork, plot, and characters will quickly draw you into the story and this like the other volumes is worth possessing a copy of your very own.

This one's a 3.5 instead of the usual 3 I gave so far for this series. This one was actually interesting, I admit and dude has his moments in this so he wasn't entirely creepy like the last one. Thank you for that. Maybe I'll have something else to like about the next one instead of the usual, oh that's creepy, or oh yeah that shows there totally in love. Also at least the cover isn't being weird or creepy like the last ones.

One thing that keeps you reading this manga is the cliffhanger question: Will they or will they not make love (From the look of the cover, what do you think?)??? Pardon the beginning of the review but if you've been reading the manga series you would ask the same thing. The author already threw in lots of obstacles that these lovers must overcome and she made it worse by adding the uncertainty of what would happen if they decide to consummate their relationship. But what I love about in this 4th chapter is that the author attempts to "humanize" the demon hero. We would think demons only think ill of humans but it seems like they feel what we feel too (???). I am not talking about the hero and heroine because the author clearly illustrated how they feel about each other in the first 3 volumes. There's a new twist introduced in volume 4: Can you kill your best friend to ensure you will not lose the woman you love? This is what the author throws at the lovers this time and I think it's a good one too. I also like how the volume ends. Okay, I don't want to give out too many spoilers in the review so you'll have to read it to find out.
