Lizzie getting all badass and showing us her inner tough girl, that's what! I've honestly never paid that much attention to Lizzie - she was a non-character that I kind of read over because she seemed more like comic relief than an actual person. This volume gives us some backstory on Lizzie and fleshes her out for the first time. And now I love her. Of course, I shudder at the whole "girls must be cute and subservient to make men happy" theme, but that's manga for you. I make sure to discuss the differences in male/female dynamics in manga vs. honest equal partnership with my daughter.

I keep saying story getting interesting. This volume is no exception but it really was, just interesting. We got a little hint at Ciel's fiance's thoughts and Ciel's past.
