Parker Parker Parker - there is so much to say about him. He is the ultimate hero, smart, attractive and just a badass. Love him and Lexi together and I love seeing all the other characters through his eyes and all the previous missions as well. Getting his perspective as the man behind the scenes makes for a great story! You won't be disappointed!

Romantic suspense with a terrific techno-edge, BLACK DAWN features enticing characters in both Lexi and Parker, a believable romance that runs its course smoothly, and a chilling view of domestic violence. Fans of the series will not want to miss it!

The Titan Series is my guilty pleasure. Imagine your favorite thriller with a steamy romance as a co-plot? That's what you get with the Titan Series, and Black Dawn is no exception. Lexi is an elite hacker, involved in an abusive relationship. She's created a unique software program and selling it to the highest bidder. Parker Black is Titan, with a head for analysis and an eye for Lexi. When things in Lexi's private life take a dangerous turn, Parker steps in, and gets caught up in the middle of a potentially international incident, with Lexi's software at the center. Plot There are two solid plots -- the romance between Parker and Lexi, and the mystery and intrigue surrounding Monarch, Lexi's software. Both are exceptionally well done. Cristin Harber builds suspense and heat, weaving them together, like no other single author I can think of. Characters Parker's my second-favorite Titan, Cash still holds that top spot. Parker's tough, smart, and his inability to explain his feelings makes him endearing. Lexi is about as complex as they come. She was all over the place and at times I felt she was so out of character, but that double-sided, lost-and-found Lexi was such a part of her identity, part of her growth and development as the story unfolded. Some of the Titan cast made cameos but not nearly enough for me. A few new characters that were introduced were interesting, especially Shadow, and even Matt, as much as I loathed him. World Building The world building is Titan at it's best --black ops, high-tech goodies, armored vehicles, and total badassery. Ending Harber has a way of building up the suspense, taking us to a pinnacle of danger and action, and Black Dawn is exactly what I was hoping it would be. Top Five Things I loved about Black Dawn: 1. Bacon Byte. Come on, a little wrinkly snoring pudge of a pug named Bacon is about as cute as it gets. 2. Parker. He's hot, tough, smart, really the trifecta of male perfection. 3. Hacking. Never has computer hacking been so sexy. 4. Office sex. 'Nuf said. 5. Shadow. Lexi's colleague is the father figure every girl should have. Bottom Line The latest in the Titan Series delivers danger, adventure, and steamy romance as only Cristin Harber can. What a great story! Ms Harber is a true artist with the written word. The book is an exciting thriller, a delicious love story, and a terrible story of abuse. This is the first book I’ve read in the Titan Group series. I highly recommend this book! I have a few books that are in my TBR pile that are the beginnings of the Titan Group that I am going back to read. Lexi Dare is SilverChaos an elite hacker, and has developed a program named Monarch, to fix the security holes in a Facebook type social entity, that is exclusively for the armed forces families. That company has refused the program, so now it goes up for auction. Of course, the bad guys want it. Parker Black is Black Dawn and is the brains behind the Titan Group. He has often called on SilverChaos for help in a difficult situation, and together they have solved problems for the Titan Group. Even though each of them has no idea who the other is. Parker knows Lexi as his friend Matt’s fiancé. He’s always been attracted to her, but has never done anything about it because, she is his friend’s fiancé. When he witnesses Matt abusing Lexi, he steps in to save her. What follows is a thriller of a story. Bad guys want Lexi and her program. Parker is there to protect her from the bad guys and Matt. This book is really well written and moves smoothly throughout the story. So buy it and enjoy!!! I was given an ARC of this book by NetGalley for an honest review.

4.4 star This story contains suspense, love, secrets, heartbreak, betrayal, abuse, grief, and pain. I recommend reading the other books that tie into this series before reading this one Winters Heat (Titan, #1) Sweet Girl (Titan, #1.5) Garrison's Creed (Titan, #2) Westin's Chase (Titan, #3) Chased (Titan #3.1) Gambled (Titan #3.2) Savage Secrets (Titan, #4) Hart Attack (Titan, #5) This is Lexi and Parker's story. Lexi was with Matt but when his abuse got out of hand she ran to Parker. Is she really safe with Parker? When someone starts hunting her is it Matt or someone else? The more she runs the more she feels people are after her. As Parker tries to track her down he wonders how she can hide so well. They are both hackers that help each other out but neither knew that they already knew each other in the hacker world. Now can they work together to get the code back and stop the people who are after her? As they are running they have to figure out who they are really running from Matt or the real enemy. Lives will be lost and in the end will they ever be the same? I recommend this book and can’t wait for more of this series.

My Review: Confession time. I have been wanting to read some of Cristin's TITAN line for a while now. I even own a couple of them. Yet it wasn't until BLACK DAWN, lucky number 8 in the series that I have actually cracked a book and all I can say is... WHAT WAS I THINKIN' WAITING THIS LONG?!! Oh my gosh, I am in LOVE with a new series!! Action/Adventure Romance is fast becoming my second favorite genre (after my love o' Cowboys of course) and Cristin is going to be one of my favorite authors. Let me tell you why. Character Development: We got to know Lexi, our heroine really well long before our lover boy and hero extraordinaire really showed up on an ongoing basis. That meant this wasn't just a 'Big ol' He-Man rescues Damsel in Distress'. And Parker, our hero (a fantabulous hero he is too!) he has issues of his own so while he rescues Lexi, she rescues him right back yet none of it is in the way you might think. We also have villains who were more than just a pretty face, so to speak. The first villain we meet in the very beginning and find out just how truly ugly he can be. The other, more stereotypical villains show later in the story but are given enough of a role so that you truly believe they mean what they say. Thank you Cristin for giving us characters we can cheer for, despise, worry about, want to get their just due, get oh so hot and bothered with and over, and those we can so truly love. Knowing the Job: Nothing is more distracting than when I am reading about a teacher and there are typos or doctors who don't seem to know the name of the bones in the patient's broken hand. While neither my husband nor I are hackers, we are both very computer literate in different parts of the cyber-sphere so if Lexi or Parker had begun spewing lexicon that had not even come close, I probably would have noticed it and been distracted from the story line. Instead, the tech-speak blended seamlessly and believably and advanced the story as the author intended. I am sure she had to research and or consult with her 'experts' and for that I thank her. It was worth every minute of your precious time. Keeping the Heat Neat: I enjoy a good Erotic Romance often enough and without shame. And in those books, I would not be shocked to find sexual advances occurring in any number of surprising and unusual places and times. In BLACK DAWN however, sex was not the number one priority of the novel and while Cristin could have Parker and Lexi go from 0 to 360 (Forget 60!) in well under a minute, she chose those moments wisely, leaving the characters - and us - always panting (and drooling) for more until the time was right. I'd almost say she has a gift for knowing how much is just enough to get everyone to the edge... and real us back in. Cold showers people. Lots and lots of cold showers. So, those are my main reasons why, after reading just one of the 8 books in the Titan series and specifically BLACK DAWN, I am ready to consider Cristin one of my new favorite Romance Action/Adventure authors. She does a sensational job with Character Development, Knowing the Jobs of her characters and Keeping the Heat Neat and tidy. Now, this is a book most certainly for the over 18 crowd but other than that, I can find nothing to keep me from recommending this book for anyone who enjoys a good Action/Adventure Romance and after you enjoy BLACK DAWN, then you can do like me and go back and read the first seven. Enjoy! *****5 STARS***** **2 Flames**

Parker and Lexi's story is the best one so far. These are great books - well written and emotional.

Fast passed, great story line, right mix of romance and sensuality and off the cuff banter kept me turning pages! WELL WORTH BUYING. I've certainly paid more for books with less pages, less depth and much less plot!

Black Dawn is the latest book in the Titan Series by Cristin Harber. This time, the focuses on their tech guy, Parker Black and an infamous female hacker called SilverChaos aka Lexi Dare. Lexi and Parker have an unknown connection to each other that will make their relationship very interesting to say the least. Of course, they also have a physical attraction that’s explosive. However, the best thing is that Lexi is engaged to Parker’s longtime friend Matt. Everything changes the moment Parker finds out Matt has been physically abusing Lexi. Lexi has no idea what Parker is capable of or that he is part of an elite Black Ops team. He ends up protecting her from Matt and some shady characters from her hacker world. It was very entertaining watching the tech guy get a hand at playing the hero. Sure, Parker doesn’t look like a tech guy but I can appreciate the use of brains over brawn even though he has both. Parker has never really been in love since he looks at everything from the lens of a threat assessment. Lexi forces him to go off script and make some decisions that he wouldn’t normally make. It’s that out of character behavior that makes the book unique. Rarely do you see someone who hides behind a keyboard take physical control in the real world. I could really relate to Parker and cheered him on. It was refreshing to see that he could wield a gun just as easy as decipher lines of computer code. Lexi turns his world upside down and he has to question himself and his heart so that they both can survive. There is a hint of mystery throughout this military suspense so I won’t get into more detail. Nonetheless, I thought that I may have had enough of this series but I am now looking forward to see what happens next. **Copy received courtesy of Mill Creek Press for an honest and unbiased opinion.** Reviewed for Read Your Writes Book Reviews by Gemini

I have been waiting for Parker’s book for some time now, but I was hesitant to read it because after the second book in the series this series headed south for me. For one thing I hate sugar, I’ve hated her since book 2, and it started when she was being a B***** to Nicola. But Parker has always been a favorite of mine through the series. I liked this book, but it wasn’t as good as to what I was hoping for. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t horrible or anything like that but I wasn’t a big fan of the MC in this book. I didn’t totally hate her but some of the choices she made horrible choices. One thing that really made me mad was how she done thing with her ex/boyfriend. I just didn’t get it or her for that matter. I also didn’t like how she done Parker a few times either. Parker I had no problem with. I liked that we got to see him in action instead of just behind a computer screen. I like how close he is with Mia (Winter’s Wife from the first book). I really liked the story line of this book to. Knowing that Parker the IT guy for Titan, then you could/should know what this book would be based around: Cyber world/Hackers. It could have had a bit more action (I really like those types of books) but knowing that Parker is IT guy I think we got to see him a bit in action so that was nice. I do wished we would have seen the guys a bit more, but I think that this book was more to show that Parker is just as capable as the other guys to take out bad guys. And he is. Overall, I did like this latest installment of the Titan team. I really liked Parker, he was a badass; not just behind a computer screen, but out in the field too. Lexi was ok. She made a few dumb choices, but toward the end of the book I started to warm up to her a bit. She still isn’t my favorite character but I do like her more than Sugar.

WOW!!!!! This is the 6th book of the Titan Series by Cristin Harber. It stands on it's own and the others do not need to be read to understand Black Dawn. Parker Black is the tech wizard of Titan Group; he's an MIT educated, battle-hardened former Marine. Lexi Dare is a hacker known as SilverChaos in the hacker community. There are multiple story lines in the book; there is Parker and Lexi's story, and there is a terrorist threat that needs the combined wizardry of Parker and Lexi. Many of the characters in the previous books show up in this one, and if you have read the other books in the series, you get caught up with what is going on with them. Without giving away too much of the plot, I will tell you that Ms. Harber handles a bad situation that Lexi is in with dignity and honesty. The situation is very realistic and somewhat brutal. The only thing I would like to have seen was a page at the back of the book giving information/education to people who are caught in the same type of situation, as not everyone will have a Parker Black to rescue them. This is an excellent book and I am going to read it again...even though I finished it just a few hours ago.

WICKED SMART! I mean...Cristin Harber is WICKED SMART! To write a story that is THIS intense, THIS cutting edge, THIS up on technology and THIS romantic...takes a talent the likes of which are few and far between! Black Dawn is book number 6 (full length book, there are a few novellas that are fantastic as well and are MUST reads) in the TITAN GROUP series. This series is so multi layered, so incredible full and intense that you will be hooked! Parker Black is the "Go to" guy at Titan as far as technology goes. If something "magically" happens to missiles hunting down the team or weapons or vehicles or whatever...just show up...it was Parker! Always anticipating, always steps ahead of the team to make sure things happen as they should. This story is so amazing in the fact that we get to SEE him at work, behind the scenes! We get to SEE him CONTROLLING everything he can all while keeping his cool and figuring things out ahead of the rest! That is, until he meets Lexi Dare, an EQUALLY wicked smart, fly under the radar computer hacker GENIUS who is so lost and struggling with her every day, personal life, it's all she can do to just survive! They've known each other for years, and have fought an attraction for just as long....never really knowing that they "know" and respect each other in the Hacker world! The connection that they share is totally TITAN WORTHY!!!!! Start with the very first book in the TITAN CROUP SERIES...WINTER'S HEAT and fall in Lust...errrr.....LOVE with these totally intense, wonderfully solid Titan Men and Women!

Another huge Titan hit! I just cannot get enough of these amazing men and women and devoured this in a day. Parker, our BoyGenius, was amazing in this book, he really held his own with all the other men of Titan’s stories. Lexi was super sweet, and all she had endured made my heart ache. Together the two of them were absolutely amazing, and while I don’t speak tech like these two do their shared passion in the world of computer’s and hacking was perfect. In typical Titan fashion we get plenty of suspense, some action and some panty melting amazing scenes between our leads. We get glimpses of all our beloved Titan family and the tease of maybe more Titan men books to come….PLEASE let there be more! Between Delta and this series you would think I would have enough but I just need more amazing alpha males who would do anything for the strong women who steal their hearts. This is a must read for any lover of the series and if you have yet to pick up this series, DO IT, but start with Roman and Beth in Winter’s Heat.
