Any do it yourself book that say 'Retaining wall taller than three feet are subject to thousands of pounds of pressure, SO THEY REQUIRE SPECIAL BUILDING TECHNIQUES THAT ARE BEST LEFT TO A PROFESSIONAL' in most books this would be a reccomendation, in this book it is a polite way of saying we're not going to give you the directions, it also does not show you how to build indoor walls or how to connect a ceiling and roof, run wires through them, how to build outdoor wall higher than 4 feet, the reinforceing techniques for any of the above projects, indoor flooring, unique masonry how to connect flagstone to brick, or how to make water proof structures. the few things it does give you are a few tips and VERY VERY basic construction for a beginner this is not bad but i mus give this a bad rating as it claims to be a 'Complete guide to home masonry' when a more appropraite title is the idiots guide to masonry
