Overview

Sent to London by her untrustworthy uncle, the beautiful and feisty Katherine Ralston arrives for the Season in utter despair. Not only is she caught up in the mad whirl of ballgowns and galas, she must also make certain that her disreputable uncle doesn't sell her family estate in her absence.

Katherine Ralston, a country girl at heart, sees the Season in London as something she must endure. Nicholas Varnon, known as the Black Duke for his rakish and irresistible charms, sees the season as a chance to repair his rakish reputation. Yet, he seems to be taking quite an interest in the spirited Katherine. Suspicious of trickery, Katherine is determined to ignore the sinfully sexy charms of...the Black Duke. Little does she know, she may have just met her white knight in shining armor...

A predictable plot, but a quick, fun read. No sex at all, so young teens might enjoy it.

This excellent story is about Kate and Nick. Kate's uncle sends her to London to find a husband, but she suspects that he means to steal her estate and inheritance while she is away. Nicholas, known as the Black Duke, is a friend of Neville, Kate's godfather with whom she is staying. Neville plots with Nick to purchase the estate when the wicked uncle puts it up for sale so that Kate will not lose it. However, Kate, not knowing of Neville's involvement, learns that Nick is buying her estate out from under her. Suzanne Enoch is a treasure to share her wonderful stories with us. I highly recommend "The Black Duke's Prize" along with her other beautiful stories.

I really like Suzanne Enoch. I also enjoyed this book. However, a lot of words and phrases were missing, which interrupted the flow. I had to stop and guess what was missing....

I liked this story, but felt that it lacked depth. I was happy it was clean and not all about sex. Over all, it was a quick read with a happy ending. Certainly worth 2.99.

Very predictable. You could take the cover off any Harlequin historical romance and not know the difference. Having said that, it's not a bad little story. Suitable for young teens.

A very quick but fun read. Wish it was longer. Wish it could've gone on futher. Anyone can read this; there are not unnecessary sexual scenes. I enjoyed every moment of this book.

I can be kind of picky with my books but this one deffinatly met my standards. Was not super cheesy, or overly unrealistic. The characters were relatable. I loved it!

I love "The Black Duke's Prize." It is by far one of the best romance, possibly the best book I have ever read! I am not an avid reader. I do well to finish a book one time. But, I have read "The Black Duke's Prize" two times through in full, and have just started it again. It is the only book I have ever read more than once. If you like a good romance then you'll LOVE this book.
