    Love this series

I very much enjoyed this third installment in the series. It was well written and quick paced. You did not have a lot of long, drawn-out explainations about what happpened in the other books. Absolutely hate when writers rely on previous work to cushion 100 pages of new story line that does not advance the story very far. Seriously, who jumps into to reading a series in the middle anyway? This book, and this author, do not disappoint in at all. Better yet, there are more than enough mysteries left unsolved so you know more books are coming.

This book wasn't bad but it didn't hold up to the book that came

This book wasn't bad but it didn't hold up to the book that came before it. The characters were all there, and the plot was mystery/action again, but something just seemed off. The story was interesting, or it could have been but I just never quite connected to it. The main character was surrounded by all the people that had been in the other books but she never really connected to them in any real way. It felt a lot like being surrounded by a crowd but not talking to any of them. The thing that I really like about these books is that the character doesn't try to go it alone. She uses the people around her to help her solve problems, and she treats them as the friends that they are, not as pawns. In this book the main character talks more to her snake tattoo that isn't a snake tattoo. That leads to a disconnect with the story. If she had actually talked to the other characters in the story then I would have been able to get into it more.

    Unsatisfying

This book was not nearly as good as the first two. This was slow moving and very predictable. I read the first 100 pages, couldn't stand it any more and then skipped to the last 30 pages to finish. I truly hope the next in this series is much better. There are still some questions or events to be taken care of . Although the new powers granted to the main characters will add the potential of interesting developments in future books. I just hope they are handled and expanded on better than the events of this book.

    Huge Disappointment.

Having enjoyed Vols.1 & 2, I looked forward to the stories of the other sister Furies. But I felt 'betrayed' by Volume 3, which was boring and took forever to get going. I finally gave up.
