Druid Montmoor, the heir of Montmoor Hall, will do anything to possess the woman he loves--Gildy Rosen. But sometimes only a bit of black magic will do. A mysterious, old book he finds at Montmoor Hall holds the key to spells, and perhaps to love.

When the consequences of Druid's dabbling in the dark arts play out, he risks losing everything he loves. Can there be redemption for the heir of Montmoor Hall, or will the curse that has plagued his family ruin Druid Montmoor's life and the lives of all who come near him? Perhaps only the gypsy Proserpine Craving, a mysterious woman who walks the shoreline near the Hall, can tell him--and save him.

Meet the Author

I am a gothic romance/literature nut. I fused my love of the written word with my love of studying people in an English/Psychology double major. Later, I received my M.A. in 18th century British Literature from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and have been teaching, tutoring, and writing ever since. I am the owner of Gothicked Blog, a blog that reviews gothic novels, especially gothic romance novels. My biggest gothic romance role model is Barbara Michaels (Mertz), and I count among my prized possessions a post card she sent in response to a fan letter a couple years back. I also write non-gothic romance as Lorraine James. My titles are as follows:
Magnolian, Moonlight on the Palms, Cries from the Past, Blood on Her Bonnet, Blood on Snowflakes, Pointe of Danger, She Walks the Shore, Secrets of Summerspelle, The Governess and the Master, The Bastard Returns, Sayonara, and the Delia Daugherty Serials.
