Meet the Author

Dr. James W. Reed is Professor of Medicine and Associate Chair of Medicine for Research at Morehouse School of Medicine. He is the founder of ISHIB, the International Society for Hypertension in Blacks.

Neil Shulman, M.D., is Assoc. Professor of Medicine at Emory University Medical School. His career has covered a wide spectrum of activities, including conducting clinical research in hypertension for NIH and publishing in this discipline. He co-founded theInternational Society of Hypertension in Blacksand helped launch the journalEthnicity & Diseaseand theHeart to Heart Program,which brought children from developing countries to the United States for life-saving heart surgery.

James W. Reed, M.D., F.A.C.P., F.A.C.E., is one of America's leading African-American physicians. He is Professor of Medicine at Morehouse School of Medicine and Associate Chair of Medicine for Research. He is also President of the International Society of Hypertension in Blacks (ISHIB).

Neil B. Shulman, M.D., teaches at the Emory University School of Medicine. A co-founder of ISHIB, he is also the author of Doc Hollywood, Your Body's Red-Light Warning Signals, and more.
