Black Moon Risingby Damien Ashton
Sherridan Heights is a sleepy little college town in northern California. When a series of brutal killings begins the local police are powerless to stop it. With the town shaken to its core a small group of friends take a weekend escape that quickly turns into a pulse-pounding nightmare, one of them leaving with something dark and vicious growing inside them. No one in the small town suspects who or what it is terrorizing their peaceful community, picking them off one by one. As time goes on more and more blood is mercilessly spilled. The local authorities believe they're dealing with a rogue and possibly rabid grizzly bear, never suspecting that it was something much more dangerous and far more deadly. When the pieces start coming together it sends the local sheriff on a trail of nonstop mayhem and vicious murder, leading him to an unforeseen showdown with an unimaginable evil.

The book Black Moon Rising was a fenominal ride that also kept you on yor feet. The action was intense and the descriptions so real you could fell the wearwolf right in front of you on the page.
`Black Moon Rising¿ is your not-so-basic werewolf tale which includes all of the great horror elements: blood, sex, more blood, drugs, even more blood and college youth at their finest. I loved it! Damien Ashton is not an author for the timid, that¿s for sure. Damien Ashton describes his characters with a clever pen and the tragic deaths of the victims with bloody ink. `Black Moon Rising' is a viscous book with a tight story line and a fresh perspective which will catch the eye of both werewolf fans and those who have recently discovered the horror genre. Damien¿s writing style is blunt, vulgar, and at times will make you bust out into laughter, all together leaving you gutted at the end. Oh, and did I mention that it was bloody?
When I read Black Moon Rising by Damien Ashton I didn't know what to expected until I opened the book and the lights went out, and the screams began. Black Moon Rising is nothing but relentless terror at it's best. Damien Ashton does for Werewolves what Anne Rice has done for Vampires. Ashton brings the creature back with a twist like no other. -Kingdom of Shadows Book Review
