    It's Not Bad

    It's not a bad set of books, but it's failed to really grab my interest. I'm not sure if that's due to the writer's style or that I have about 20 other books vying for my attention.

    It has everything I look for in suspense/adventure/thrillers type novels: A twisty, fantastical plot and several sub plots, an unexpected evil that must be destroyed, etc. It did go a bit outside my ability to suspend belief towards the end of the first book, but, again, I think that's because I just couldn't fully give myself over to the story.

    If this were a 10 star scale, I'd give it seven stars.
