Rockpaw gets into the hunters crouch and stalks up to the vole. He steps aside to avoid a dead leaf but puts too much weight on one side and crunches on another leaf. The vole jumps up and runs away. Rockpaw runs after it. The vole runs into a thorn bush and Rockpaw crashes into the bush, unable to stop in time. He steps away, blood dripping down his face from getting stabbed by the thorns. "Ow! Stupid vole! Or mabie im the one whos stupid," he says. He looks at the nest. He runs up to the tree and climbs up to the the nest. He hangs from a branch and bats at the baby birds. They chirp wildly and begin jumping out of the nest. "Really!?" He says, frusturated. He snags one with his claw, but he loses his grip on the branch and falls down to the ground. He loses the bird on the way down. He sits up and sees all the baby birds are still alive and flapping away to their mother, who is pecking at seeds a little farther away. He looks up at the hawk. It dives down at him and he jumps out of the way of its talons. He runs to the rabbit. He forgets to sneak up on it and it runs away as soon as he starts running towards it. It vanishes into its burrow. Rockpaw sighs and walks away dejectedly. Another hunt failed.

Franticly sniffs the air for jaykit. Coming under a tree he finds cobweb and stick casts. The cobwebs are broken. 'Did jaykit nibble them off?' He thought. Onetail kept going calling to jaykit. Suddenly her scent hits his nose. And an unfamilier scent. Letting a yowl onetail followed the two scents. -Onetail
