    Romance with substance!

Black Wolf: Lakota Man delivers that special something that readers everywhere crave; a book that keeps them going and wanting to come back for more. You will form a bond with Caleb and may even find yourself rooting for him in various parts of the book. Author Magnolia Belle takes the pen and does what so few romance authors can do; she makes the characters lively and interesting. This will be a series worth reading!

    more from this reviewer

    I Also Recommend:

    Romantic, Touching and Wonderful!

This is my first book in this series and by this author and I must say that I was not disappointed.

Ms. Belle has created a world that many, if not all, readers will be able to relate to in some way. Caleb, Sara, his family, etc were written vividly, strong, and realistically. It would be easy to imagine this tale of fiction happening.

It was easy to read, kept my attention and made me want to turn each page just to see what would come next. Very exciting and touching. I look forward to reading the rest of this series soon.

This was another great find.  Lakota Man is a beautiful love st

    This was another great find.

Lakota Man is a beautiful love story, but it is more, much more – it is a rock ‘n roll love story, and in my opinion, it doesn’t get any better than that.

Caleb and Sara are both musicians.  Caleb is the lead singer and guitarist of a rock band, and Sara is a beautiful and vibrant Blues singer. They meet at the recording studio where they are both working on their latest projects and are immediately attracted to each other.

The story follows their hesitant first steps to try, in their own way, to trust each other enough to open the door to love – both Sara and Caleb had been hurt badly in the past and they were understandably hesitant to entrust their hearts to just anyone.  But they both knew there was something special happening, the chemistry was there - they just needed to trust it.

There is so much about this book that I loved.  Firstly, the story – it is a true love story, the sexual attraction between Sara and Caleb is handled subtly by the author, but it is there.  The personalities of each character has been so well thought out, and brought into the story, which made for great reading.  I also loved the insight into the Native American culture, which was a bonus, I just wish there had been more, a lot more :)

I highly recommend this book if you love a good romance, rock ‘n roll, and a very good story which is told in a way that leaves you wanting more.  I Loved it.

Black Wolf Lakota: A Critical Review

Black Wolf: Lakota is the first in a five part series about a Native Indian male band. It's not Lakota's plot development that entrances the reader. The premise is simple and somewhat predictable: Caleb, the lead singer of Black Wolf and Sara, a beautiful blue-eyed blues singer meet at a music studio while pursuing their music careers and sparks fly. They suffer the usual ups and downs of a fledgling romance, jealousy, uncertainty, infatuation. However the plot's simplicity and repetitive narration is offset by the descriptive beauty and charm of the main characters. Belle's strength lies in her use of visual imagery and sensual nuance to bring her characters' romance alive. Belle achieves a vibrant sexuality in Caleb and Sara's relationship with subtle allusion. Blueprints of the music studio are unessential and distract the reader from the storyline. Belle's obvious experience as a musician shines in this piece.
