Thank-you Gerda Lerner for compiling the evidence of unfairness in this country toward African-American women. I held my mouth agape at some of the historical events. Every young and old Transdecendant of the African continent, should have a copy of your book, the history many choose to forget. My mother died of cancer in 1991 at the age of Forty-seven. She left me her books and I discovered a copy of Black Women in White America. I am so glad my mother knew what would make me passionate. The journals in the book have truly inspired me and have helped me persevere for the greater good of the human race. purplecasmereWas this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
