AMAZING- Read this- you will be glad you did!!!!!!

When Emily receives a magickal diary that makes her wishes come true, she knew that magick can change her life. What she didn't know was that change can be for better or worse and that the serious, real-life danger would start the moment when magick opens a portal to a magical world.
Now danger follows her everywhere and Emily no longer knows if she can trust anyone. In Black Wood, she must learn spells, embrace her powers and enter the other world where evil rules the world. This was a great start to a fantastic series. Very hard to put down and worth the low price. Can't wait to read the next book!

    LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was a total thrill ride for me. I really liked Emily and her adventures about finding out she has witch blood and must embrace her powers in order to help others. The portal to the other dream world is exciting. What a cliffhanger at the end!

    don't miss out- it's fantastic!

Evil raises its head in a new form and everything changes for a teen girl. Dark and deadly dangerous is the world Emily enters through the power of a magickal diary.
When she discovers she is the next successor of a magickal gift and has to take her role as a witch to fight against the evil, reality sets in and she embarks on an exciting quest to help others. However not everyone can be trusted, not every choice made is a wise one. Will she be able to learn all the spells in time as witch student? can she count on the very people who try to teach her? Most of all is Emily fighting on the right side?

or will evil raise its head in a new form, leaving Emily as the prey?
Darkness reigns supreme in this haunting tale of magick. I can only recommend this book.

    shows promise

I love the ideas behind this book and was hooked from the very first page! I can definitely see its potential to be the next ground-breaking series! Fans of Harry potter and other fantasy teen books should definitely give this book a try!

    AWESOME- One of the best

First it should be said I am an adult and a harry potter fan. I remember the first time I heard of harry potter and its ever increasing popularity I remembered I rolled my eyes as it was considered a children book between age 9-12. But I loved the movie and after I read it myself, I swore to myself never now to judge a book by its cover no matter what age group it was. So I decided to give this book a try and I must say although it doesn't beat harry potter, it comes very close to it. I loved the plot, the story and I stayed up till late to read this. It counts now as one of my favorites and hope the sequel will be as amazing as the harry potter series.

    Pleasantly surprised

I had no idea what the book was going to be about. But i heard that so many people loved it so it must be good. I am always cautious when i read books because you just never know. But this is probably one of my favorite books ever. The characters are really likeable and its easy to just feel what they are feeling. Loved every minute reading it!!!

    has it all

I only read the 20 chapters of the sample and i thought it was great, so I bought this book. What can I say. It has become my favorite of all books because it has it all! It pulled me in from the beginning when Emily stands in front of the Scottish mansion that is set to change her life. The writer creates a magical world and you feel like you are Emily because you are experiencing Black Wood for the first time, meeting strange creatures, going through secret portals and experimenting with magic. You feel the excitement when Emily finds the power of the diary and the fear when she finds out her brother is under a hex ( this was creepy) and no one believes her. Thoroughly well written and very enjoyable. On a scale of 1-10, 1 being the worst and 10 the best, this book scores an 11!!!

    Shocking

I couldn't let it go! The book was just over all enthralling and the characters are so well developed. I have to admit at first I was a bit skeptical of the book because the plot was just so eerie to me but it was more than I had bargained for!!!! Now I'm off to buy the next books! Don't let the cheap price fool you! This has got to be one of the best books I have read in a while!

    WOW

Once the book took off there is no turning back. The witch story, as far as I am concerned, are better than the paranormal vampire stories and it's good, though not this complex but worth the read.

    refreshing

This book is a quick read and very easy to get through without ever getting bored. It's a typical teenager fantasy book but it's nice to get out of reality every once in a while and get your blood pumping!

    Compelling

This has to be the second most best reading of 2011 after Harry potter - I have to say that the author created an engrossing read that I couldn't put down. The storyline was set in a realistic manner but intertwined some magic along the way. I cannot wait until the 2nd book is released to see what happens!
