What happened in the years between the final chapter and epilogue of Sometimes Never? Blackbird is an 18,000+ word novella that continues Mason and Hope's story as they finish high school, start separate colleges, and confront their demons.

Though Blackbird can be read on its own, it is better enjoyed after reading Sometimes Never. Recommended for 17+ due to harsh language and some sexual situations.

Meet the Author

Cheryl McIntyre is a mother, author, and insomniac, as well as a reader, movie critic, and incredibly bad singer. She’s lived in the same area of Ohio her whole life, though she secretly has dreams of moving somewhere a little warmer—preferably near a beach.

Her life revolves around four things: family, music, books, and really bad scary movies. If she doesn’t have a kid on her hip, an iPod in her hand or a laptop in front of her face, it’s one of those rare moments when she’s actually sleeping.

You can follow her author page on Facebook where she lives part time. On Goodreads—which is like crack for avid readers. Or on Twitter, though it’s rumored she has yet to master the art of tweeting. Sadly, this is still very true.

Ah, Mason and Hope, really loved being pulled into their world.

Ah, Mason and Hope, really loved being pulled into their world. Blackbird is a great addition to let you see the real struggles they fought through to reach the epilogue in Sometimes Never. You see that everyday is a challenge for both of them and they have to find ways to cope together and separately which makes them stronger individually and as a couple.

    Hello?

You are supposed to read this book AFTER sometimes never... but that's kind of hard if its not available here. Going somewhere else to get it and spend my money.

This book is about a group of barely adults, but adults nevertheless. Nineteen to twenty somethings. The issues can be disturbing: lots of sex, cutting, fidelity issues, heavy alcohol use.
So why was it written on a High School level. The author had to title each chapter with the speakers name because the writing did not tell you who was speaking. I loved the characters but was dissappointed in the writing style. No gender difference in the text and I kept waiting for more character development. Too many secrets from the reader!
