Theres a violence in me.

My name is Lincoln Delabar. I was born without a face. Yes, you heard that right. Smooth, clear skin from my forehead to my chin.

I see the world differently, yet it is still a place that holds wonder. At least most of the time.

With my uniqueness comes a burden. My mind is powerful.

Overview

Theres a violence in me.

My name is Lincoln Delabar. I was born without a face. Yes, you heard that right. Smooth, clear skin from my forehead to my chin.

I see the world differently, yet it is still a place that holds wonder. At least most of the time.

With my uniqueness comes a burden. My mind is powerful. Very powerful. And I have an obligation, a purpose, to see things in my own special way. Some of the things I see are frightening.

The evil in this world is beyond anyone’s control. Or so you might think.

There is a violence in me. I’m not afraid. I can control it.

 But should I?

Very short and turns out its a serial so the story just leaves you hanging and you have to pay top dollar for the next 70 page short story. Very much a rip off. I refuse to be sucked into these money taking schemes. These authors could easily put these short stories together and make a book, instead they try to fleece you by chopping them into 'short' stories, charging top dollar and calling them serials. I do not recommend this at all. Dont waste your time.

Enjoyable full length novel about paranormally gifted teenagers. I am looking forward to sequel about growth into adulthood. Characters are somewhat one dimensional but ideas are interesting.

Blank, the very first book I've read by Richard C Hale, grabbed my attention and teased my curiosity from the first page. Lincoln Delabar, a child born with no face, must live in a world that sees him as a monster. He’s a special boy with budding powers. In this first installment to the trilogy, we are introduced to Lincoln, his family, and his friends. I watch him grow into his teenage self as he grows into some of his powers. It’s an emotional rollercoaster ride with many adult situations. Since it is the first, many back stories must be presented making it a long read, but well worth sticking it out through the end. I recently joined Hale’s Street Team and needed to buy and read both Blank and Blank: Threads before getting to Blank: Apocalypse, my ARC. He has a way of writing that makes the characters very real and you become invested in what happens to each of them. Though some parts are difficult to read, they make this story more realistic. I’m glad I was able to pick up Blank: Threads right after so I didn’t have long to find out what happens to Linc next.

I enjoyed this book. It was so different from anything else that it was all the more enjoyable. The level of violence is high so it is not for young readers. If you enjoy stories about extra sensory powers you should like this one.

Blank (Season 1) by Richard C. Hale This is the story of Lincoln "Linc" Delabar, or as some call him Blank. He was born without a face. No mouth or eyes, just two slits where a nose should be. Linc has special abilities, (very powerful) and he can see things others can not. Will he be able to control his "gift" or will he use what he was born with for evil purposes? Will he find acceptance in a cruel world? I am a huge fan of Richard C. Hale so I knew I would love this book. Linc is very unique, he has a big heart and has to face the world as a "freak" when inside he feels (and wants to be) normal. It was very easy to like and relate to young Linc. I look forward to more in this series and highly recommend Blank .
