I love Ms. Eden’s Angel series, and when I saw a friend reading this on Goodreads, I could not resist.
Ms. Eden did a great job with this Greek-God-finally-meet-his-mate story. Terese Lafitte, a newly turned vamp was in need to feed and wouldn’t you know it, she meets the Sun God, Apollo. And in most books I’ve read including this one, Apollo is portrayed bored and in search of a woman who will leave him enthralled. Terese did just that and brought him to his knees. But Ms. Eden did not make it easy on Apollo; she gives him an obsessive, powerful vampire as a hurdle and makes Apollo work hard to get his Happy-Ever-After (HEA).
It’s a cute short story. The characters and world building are good. You get a good gist of what is going on and you get a good amount of history of Apollo and his fam bam. We get to see a bit of Ares, Artemis and Poseidon, which is a great opening if Ms. Eden decides to write about them. My only complaint, and I always feel this way with short stories, is that there wasn’t enough time for the romance. It felt like it was a wham bam thank you ma’am and then you get the HEA. I would love to see more of this world and definitely would like to see more pages in these books.
Ms. Eden is great writer and I recommend this short for a light quick read as well as her The Fallen series which is one of may faves.

A vampire walks into a sun god's bar...
*Book source ~ Purchased on Amazon
Terese Lafitte has a big problem. She needs to feed and now. Unfortunately, the bar she walks into has a big oaf bugging her. He may be a handsome big oaf with plenty of sex appeal, but since she’s a newbie vampire with very little bonus points such as strength and mesmerizing humans, she needs to feed on a puny guy she can overpower. But Apollo won’t leave her alone. Desperate to feed she decides he’s big and strong enough that he won’t be affected by her taking a bit of blood and since he seems to be horny for her, well, a bit of nookie won’t be so bad either. They both get way more than they expected though.
Ah, I haven’t read a terrible Cynthia Eden book yet. I can count on them to have unique paranormal elements, steamy sex scenes, humor and some peril to overcome. I love being entertained and this short story delivers. Written in 2012 I’m wondering when there will be more in this series. I would certainly love to read the stories for Ares, Artemis and Poseidon since they were introduced in this tale.

Unlike the last comment, everyone ifs titled to their own opinions. All the books I have phased from Cynthia Eden, this book does delivers like all the rest. I enjoy she threw a little twist into the book. A vampiress in the with a sun god, I personally think no other god would match better for her. The sun which she misses so much is given back to because of who Apollo is. It is funny, sweet, & oh so sexy. It is specially funny when Apollo makes old references in forms of jokes to himself.

I could only give this romance three stars. If apollo had been any other kind of supernatural it would have worked for me. But a god was just too much. Not up to par with edens other paranormal romances. Phyl pWas this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

I really enjoyed this story and I can't wait for book 2 in the series. The story was very well written and very addictive. Once I started reading it was impossible to put down. I loved the story that unfolded between Apollo and Therese and fell in love with the way they were written.
It's not everyday you get Vampires and Greek Gods in one story. I'm glad that I read this one, and definitely recommend it. It's definitely one "HOT" read. :)

I've read a few of Cynthia Eden's Vampire Romance Novellas and while I was satisfied with "Bleed for Me", I was not terribly impressed. The inclusion of the Greek gods is an intriguing device and after reading this, I believe Ms. Eden is onto something. Greek gods fit surprisingly well into general vampire mythology (at least in my personal experience).
The novella is told from Apollo's point-of-view and I think this limits the reader's ability to sense any plot development. Unlike Ms. Eden's other work, the characters never seem to get beyond two dimensional. There are some sexy scenes, but I'm not sure that I will give it a second read.
