Overview

I've loved once. I gave everything that I had to that love. Blindly believing that nothing could ever take that feeling away from me. Away from us. And when my little world of happiness was ripped from my fingers, I felt a loss that still haunts me to this day.

Now I use that lingering grief as a shield to keep my heart from loving again. It's that fear that keeps me from letting anyone, except my daughter, get close enough to make it hurt. To make my heart bleed when I inevitably lose again.

Until the day I met Liam Beckett and everything I thought I had protected myself from was shoved back in my face.

He's on a mission to prove to me that a love worth having is a love worth fighting for.

*Bleeding Love is the second book in the Hope Town series. It will follow Liam and Megan.*

## The cover alone is worth the money.

The story was kind of flat and Megan was spineless and annoying. I was hoping for something more exciting for Liam book. Maybe the next will be better.

loved every single book that harper Sloan writes but this one I wasn't feeling it at all. Beginning was great but middle to end I got bored. I had to skip to the last chapter so I can find out what happens. I love my romance alpha male books but just not this book. It won't stop me from reading any of harper Sloan books because I'm still a fan no matter what .

Loved Lee and Megans story, this was a little different because of Megan past. But great all the same.. Great Alpha men, I laughed so hard reading and picturing those hot alpha men letting Molly do makeupovers (as she puts it) and having tea parties, it was so touching to.. Ms Sloan does an excellent job keeping the Corps Security family together and growing... Can't wait to see who's next in this series. ..

I ADORE this book. Megan, a single mother and widow with a history of life's crappiest moments struggled to feel "ALIVE". Forunately surrounded by some of the most amazing friends and support sytem along with the ever amazing Liam, we watch her climb out of her shell. She is an amazing mother and Molly makes you smile big with her "little girl" happiness. "Getting the girl" is definitely in Liam's blood. He proves his love in the best ways possible, through actions. He's strong, wise for his years, and the kinda alpha that makes my heart swell. This book has now claimed my favorite book status. #LIAM

I am absolutely loving Harper Sloan's spinoff series Hope Town. The children of the Corps Security men and women are just as fabulous and enticing as their parents were - if not more. The second installment in this series, Bleeding Love was spectacular. The entire time I was reading my heart was pounding, excited and happy to be falling in love with Liam and Megan. This book was honestly so much fun to read. Liam Beckett is on a mission. He spent his entire life watching his parents be completely in love and has been searching for the same type of connection and affection for himself. He knew instantly upon meeting Megan again that she was his one. So be prepared to swoon - Liam is going to melt your heart and his charming ways will wreck you for all other book boyfriends. It's completely an uphill battle to win Megan's heart. Her character is grieving and scared to truly live. I wanted to give her a hug and then shove her into Liam's bed. Not just for her - I wanted to be there too - listening to Lee whisper his desires and all of his naughty thoughts. Their journey together moves swiftly and before you know it you devoured their entire story. You're left with a smile on your face and probably in need of new panties. Additionally, you're gifted with more time with all of our favorite characters from previous books and it is awesome. All of it combined definitely makes Bleeding Love a must read book.

It was a great read. I think Molly stoled the show with her make overs. It was a sweet story

If you are looking for a too mushy love story with a HEA this is your book. Not alot of heat or action, but it does have good characters and the supporting characters i love in this series. Its just not my favorite.

I love these character so much!! I love that in this new series we get to see our beloved characters from Corps Security and to see them as parents and just as in love as when we read about their stories. Liam and Megan are a beautiful couple, there's so much pain and also so much healing in this book, it is lovely to see how true friends are always there for you, supporting you through tough times, how they always have your back no matter what. Megan had a lot of healing to do and I was glad she had those friends and also of course she had Liam, even though she kept making it hard for him to get close. The way Harper Sloan writes always gives me butterflies, it's just so beautiful and it always gives me light, after reading her book I always feel better and happier. Next in the series is Nate's book and I'm dying to know who is going to be his love interest, I would love it to be one of the girls in the group, but I know I'm going to love his story either way.

The second book in the Hope Town series did not disappoint. I fell in love with Liam. He was so much like his father with the same determination to help heal and get the woman he loves. In his case he also get a daughter to go with her. Molly was absolutely adorable and watching all the alpha males shower her with love was great too. Cannot wait for more.

Was pretty good. Not my favorite, but I love Harper Sloan. I did breeze through, kept waiting for some action or excitement but it never came. Just a sweet love story.

Megan loved once then it was ripped away from her. She was happy with her life, she has her daughter and her husband but one day out of the blue it was gone. Now Megan uses her grief as a shield to keep others out so she nor her daughter have to experience that feeling again. Then she met Liam Beckett and everything she was protecting herself from was coming at her fast. Liam Beckett knew he wanted Megan and her daughter in his life and he was willing to fight for it. Harper Sloan oh how I love thee...I have loved every book since Axel and Bleeding Love is no different. Megan and Liam give us a ride on their journey to HEA. I laughed and I cried and I hoped for Lee and Megan. Harper Sloan has this way of hooking you from word one. You also get a glimpse of some of the others from the Corps Security family. Love Love Love this author and series.

WOW! This book is so amazing! I really can't say enough about it!! Harper has once again delivered an awesome, alpha-strong book but this time Megan is just as strong! Megan has been through a lot of heartache & basically has closed her feelings station down to anyone except her baby girl! Liam has had his sight on her since her first met her! Liam spends a good part of the book knocking down Megan's walls but can the ice around her heart from losing a love be broken? How will she handle life when she's put into the same scenario that caused the heartache in the first place? I adore Liam! He's one of my fav book boyfriends! The compassion & love for Megan & Molly is off the charts! This book will have you swooning big time!

5 star I was pulled right into this story. This story contains suspense, love, secrets, heartbreak, betrayal, and pain. I recommend reading the other books that tie into this series before reading this one Axel (Corps Security, #1) Cage (Corps Security, #2) Beck (Corps Security, #3) Uncaged (Corps Security, #3.5) Cooper (Corps Security, #4) Locke (Corps Security #5) Unexpected Fate (Hope Town #1) This is Megan and Liam's story. Liam has wanted Megan for a while and finally gets the chance but after he has her she shuts him out. Megan does not think she deserves to move on since the loss of her husband who was her best friend. Megan is having a hard time letting anyone in. But even as she holds back her daughter is blossoming with the attention of Liam and his family. Can she really let Liam in? Will he run when he finds out all her secrets? Will he think differently of her? Will he help her though all the pain and show her the understanding that she needs? In the end will he love her as she loves him? I love how you get glimpses of the parents from the last series in this. You get updates on some but get a better look at Beck and Dee. Highly recommend this book and can’t wait for more of this series.

"A love worth fighting for is a love worth keeping." This was the first line I highlighted in this book and such an apt description for what this story is ultimately about. Harper Sloan has done it again and written an absolutely breathtaking story about finding the one that makes everything else in your world just seem right. Liam Beckett & Megan are both moving through life - but where Liam has always been a part of a big interconnected family of friends, Megan had only ever had her late husband and best friend, Jack. Since Jack's death during his last deployment, Megan has been surviving but not living. When Liam meets Megan he knows that she is supposed to be his, and the more that she ignores him and pushes him away the more he knows she is worth the wait. This book started with a bang of an encounter and rolled on from there. I loved Liam's fierce determination to make Megan realize that it was time for her to wake up and really live; to realize that they are better together and that he wants her and Molly forever. There was just so much to love about this story! The way Liam was so quietly determined to make Megan see what he saw. The list he created to help Megan remember what it was like to really live. Megan coming to terms with her relationship with Jack and realizing that he did love her, it was just not the love that she craved like what she finds with Liam. Megan opening up to Liam and their friends, and realizing that she doesn't have to hide who she is from those that care about her. The heat and intense chemistry between Liam and Megan was hot, hot, hot! And then there is Molly. This kid is amazing and made me think over and over again about how Cohen was when we first met him in Cage. She is precious and seriously has these guys wrapped up - Axel having tea parties? and the way she has makeupovers with Liam, Nate and Beck? Omg it was hilarious and precious at the same time!! This story was even better than I anticipated! I'm loving this next generation of the Corps Security series! Hope Town is full of love and laughter and I can't wait to see what Harper brings us next!!

Bleeding Love is an amazing, captivating story. It is a story of love, loss, finding the strength to let go, move on and taking that second chance at life and love. I loved everything about this story; from the plot to the characters to everything in between. The story was riveting. I couldn’t put it down until I absorbed every last word. It was so easy to get caught up in Megan and Liam’s story. Liam: I loved his strength and determination. He was a true alpha male. He wouldn’t take no for an answer and worked hard to make Megan “see” things. He brought Megan back to life. Gave her another reason to live. I loved that Liam wasn’t afraid of all the baggage that Megan had. That he loved Molly as his own and would protect her with his life. Megan: Her pain. Her loss. All so palpable. Her emotions, so easy to understand and relate to. She was an amazing mother to Molly, but really let fear rule her life. Her journey is not an easy one. She has so much to let go of and so much to overcome, but in the end, it’s so worth it. I loved the connection between Liam and Megan. It was so strong, so beautiful. It was everything. Not only were they great friends, but their chemistry…The chemistry between the two of them just exploded from the pages. I couldn’t get enough of the two of them. I couldn’t wait for Megan to “see”. “A love worth having, is worth fighting for.” -This is one of my favorite quotes from this book. I think it really sums everything up. This book will make you feel. You will feel EVERYTHING. You will laugh. You will cry. You will swoon. You will smile. You will find hope. You will learn to let go. And most importantly, you will fall in love………… * I was provided an ARC copy of this book via TRSOR Promotions, in exchange for an honest review* My full review can also be seen at: http://onceuponabookblog.com/2015/07/...

It was so great to get back to Hope Town and to catch up with our favorite families from Corps Security! I absolutely loved this book! It was one that I virtually read in one sitting and I was so engrossed in all of the emotions it brought forth, the biggest of which was trust. Liam Beckett has wanted to make Megan his since the day he met her. Just like his father, he knew that Megan was his woman. The trick was going to make her believe that. Megan lost her husband three years ago and she has been working to make life as normal as possible for her five year old daughter Molly. In doing so, the thing that Megan wasn't doing was really living her life. Can Lee make Megan realize how much life there is for her to enjoy and live? Can Megan trust Lee enough to give him her heart and along with that the opportunity to be a daddy to her little girl? Harper Sloan has once again told a story with so much heart, emotion and has created people we can't help but care about. This was just another reason to love the Corps Security crew and their offspring! This one comes highly recommended.

4.25 stars-- BLEEDING LOVE is the second installment in Harper Sloan’s adult, contemporary Hope Town erotic, romance series –a spin off from her Corp’s Security series. This is Megan and Liam’s story. Liam is a cop; the son of John ‘Beck’ and Denise ‘Dee’ Beckett (Beck-Corps Security #3); Megan is a single mother and widow who was first introduced at the end of Unexpected Fate (Hope Town #1). Told from dual first person points of view (Megan and Liam) BLEEDING LOVE follows Liam as he formulates a plan-a list-to seduce Megan. Megan is a romance author, a single mother whose husband Jack was killed while on deployment in the Middle East. Alone and grieving, Megan will be introduced to the ‘gang’ by Cohen Cage, Jack’s friend and fellow soldier, and in the ensuing year, Liam is unable to forget about the woman who can no longer ‘feel’. At Cohen and Dani’s wedding, Liam and Megan will hook up for a one night stand that begins to slowly break down the walls that Megan has erected around her grieving heart. Megan’s grief over the death of her husband is compounded by guilt-a guilt she is unable to understand or forgive herself for as she endeavors to create a life for her young daughter and herself. The attraction between Liam and Megan is immediate but Megan is unable to bring any man into her life in the fear of destroying her daughter’s heart, as well, as her own. The push and pull between Megan and Liam is heightened by Megan’s reluctance to move forward; to forgive herself for what she believes is a betrayal to Jack; and to break down the walls she has so conveniently built to protect her heart. Liam is a swoon-worthy hero; a man with plenty of patience, and he will need said patience to convince Megan that he is the man for her. Throughout the storyline Liam places himself, front and center, into Megan’s life; he is a man on a mission, and his mission is to bring light and happiness into Megan’s life but Megan is numb to the world around her, and in this Liam knows to win Megan’s heart he must first get Megan to ‘feel’. Liam, never one to give up, pushes Megan a little at a time until she is able to see and feel. The only demons to overcome are Megan’s personal demons from the past-there are no outside threats to their relationship or lives. The $ex scenes are erotic, provocative and seductive. The secondary and supporting characters include most of the next generation of family and friends from Harper’s Corps Security Series. Beck and Dee’s (Liam’s parents) love and support of their son is reflective of Liam’s personality and love for Megan and her daughter Molly. Megan’s husband Jack is revealed through flashbacks and memories. BLEEDING LOVE looks at guilt and grief; romance and seduction; letting go and falling in love. Liam is the perfect storybook hero who understands Megan’s wants and needs, but also knows that to move forward Megan must let go of the guilt. The premise is heart-warming and inspiring; the characters engaging, humorous, and expressive; the romance passionate, encouraging and intoxicating. And who doesn’t love BT Urruela on the cover-a perfect Liam Beckett.
