Not in the detail that I was expecting from the cover as well as the summary.

If the story is including her (jennifer) father, then to me, there wasn't enough in the book to have him included (the back of the book that sums up the story). A few more instances could have been left out. From the description and clarity of why they were mentioned, it was hard to place exactly the relavance. To some things, such as the wipe on board not needing to be photographed. It was a very nice gesture to mention, perhaps reading to us some of what was written would've been nice as well; as oppose to taking a picture of it; not all penmenship is legible. I believe the book was not clear on her status/situation of coming out as well-where she stands. The focus of the book was not directed to her gender preference, however, since names were dropped, and significant situations were brought about, then the reader should be welcomed into a current state the auther is in, not only the church one is currently affiliated with. I do alot of proof reading, and I have previously donated a children's story to the Institute for Children's Liturature, so seeing what is being "meant" is something that I am familiar with. I think you meant the book was about a time in the author's life that is helping her, help us understand the period in one's life. The time from loosing one parent, to loosing another, and how these things are to be the period where God's plan is unravelling, and one must make the best of it for it to be their own "Blessed Thearpy"... but this is just what I meant. I was very drawn to the part (sadly) where both her grandmother, as well as her mother took their last breath in the author's presence. You do not see specific details of what a person hears, smells, sees, etc. I do worry as a single mother of a young child should he find me in this state before he is old enough to understand the reasons why we live and die. I just hope that my journey will be as much appreciated as yours....

Heartfelt.... a must read for those seeking to make a life change.

Many fail to realize life can be found in death. The most common example is how the death of Christ gave all who accept Him eternal life. In this case the writer really captured the reader with the story of how the death of both parents led to a life changing experience. Gosh, God really knows how to get our attention!
I recommend this book to everyone seeking a major change in their life. The book would be good for a book club to debate decisions made and how they would have responded to her experience. The club could also ponder what would it take to get their attention.

I hope she continues to write other books. Buy a copy for Christmas and bless someone; I know I will!
