What can I say about Julie Tilling? The middle child in a family of all girls, she is held responsible for everything. Being a sounding board for her sisters, a doormat for them to walk all over, the backbone of her family. This is who she is.at least that is what everyone sees. When her best friend, Jason, commits suicide she can't believe it and is determined to find out the truth.no matter the cost. In a dank nightclub, she discovers more about herself than I think she ever could have imagined.
Damon, or Demon as he is known in the night scene, is your typical bad boy. Insulting, chauvinistic, and sexy as hell. This is his life.and he hates it. With dreams bigger than his small time radio and DJ gig, he longs for simple comforts in a job where he doesn't have to leave himself at the door to step into the personality that the world loves to hate.
I loved Julie's innocence and the fact that she grew so much in a short period of time. Completely coming out of her comfort zone with a few Long Island Iced Teas, a mystery needing to be solved, and a gorgeous man that she just can't seem to resist was just the boost she needed to shed her doormat lifestyle and come into her own. She is the perfect example of what can happen when you just put yourself out there and let life take you over. She and Damon are a terrific match. Each able to teach each other about what they are missing in their lives.
This sweet story was a quick read. I loved it! The relationship between Julie and Damon was a perfect mix of heartwarming and steamy. Both had something new to offer the other. The fact that Damon had his secrets and still wanted to aid in helping Julie find out the truth of Jason's death, even though he knew those secrets could come out.awesome. It says a lot about the type of man he really was. Oh.and did I mention steamy? Not your every day steamy either. A hot man who wants to do whatever to please you.all tied up and helpless? Oh yes.
I will definitely be looking for more from Nina Pierce in the future. Good things to come from her for sure!

This is a modern day tale of sleeping beauty with kink. CPA Julie has spent her life taking care of everyone else until the death of her best friend sends her on a solo mission to uncover the truth. She dons a disguise and persona that awakens a slumbering beast inside her. Beast, thy name is Sensuality. Her libido is thrown into overdrive when her mission takes her to a club where exhibition and sex go hand in hand. When she tangles with our hero their consummation is passionate and more personal than either intends.
Dark and mysterious with a goo filled center his persona hides away. Damon is the best of both worlds. Intelligent and sensitive he's forced to play a role he despises to survive. Julie see's through his guise and together they take a journey through a wonderland of sexual exploration that may make some squirm .The mystery that surrounds her best friend Jason's death takes her to a seedy under world unlike any she's ever been exposed to
I don't want to show my knowledge of Shrek, but these characters have layers like onion. Each time Nina peels away more skin we learn something we didn't know, or expect. Nina has a way with mystery. She tells the reader just enough to make them think they have the puzzle solved. Only to turn around and reveal they were dead wrong. Blind love has it all. A romance that ranges from sweet, to sensual, to holy crap my eyes may fall out of their sockets. Characters that are well develop and a setting you relate to from the first paragraph.
This book surpassed my expectations and I would def recommend it as a read. I have to repeat though that this is not for those with vanilla taste, we get some m/m loving, along with sexual exhibition and hints of BDSM.

Nina Pierce has masterly created a book that is both hot and steamy, while being fun to read. The story doesn't get lost to the romantic scenes. The characters are believable and honest. I felt for Julie as I was reading about her family dynamics- it was something that could have been in any family. I absolutely love Damon, everyone needs a good bad boy sometimes. This book keeps you on the edge of your seat as you race along with Julie and Damon, while Julie tries to figure out just what happened to Jason. I hope that there are more perfect blends like this from Pierce in the future. Spot on!

This 257 page, free book has an immense amount of sex in it. I do not mean romantic sex, but porn. It is described in a nasty manner and the book should have an erotica warning. I like a book with hot, steamy sex, but this was filthy. There are gays, lesbians and bisexuals, three men together, one woman and two men, and every other combo which can be thought up. This book is 3/4 sex. There is a lot of cursing also. There is not much in the way of a plot and whodunit was easy to figure out. I know I am in a minority of readers disliking this book but I really dislike smut. The ending was unbelievable. But at least it had a conclusion. The editing was actually pretty well done and I liked the family dynamic between the sisters. It seemed realistic. I would not recommend this XXXXX rated book to anyone with morals annd it is for adults only. I will not be reading anything else by this author. I wish there was a place on my nook where I could save a list of banned authors' names. This book was bad.

This is a good coffee break book where you are just looking for a light read without too much depth to it. Basically, Julie's best friend has died, the police have ruled it as suicide but she thinks otherwise. So she decides to look into it herself - the story starts.
Julie is the "steadfast" daughter, the "reliable" sister and I found myself wishing that she'd get a backbone but then no one ever said that I was steadfast or reliable! Her sisters and her mother don't really come across all that well in the book but her dad is lovely.
Damon and Julie get together, have a few hiccups, straighten things out and sort out the mystery - which, can I just say, I found to be confusing. Just who did Jason love and who did he use at the end? I'm not sure.
Anyway, a good book with some steam.

The story line was interesting, and I like a spicy romance, but this was too trashy for me. Like porn without the pictures. I didn't finish this book - deleted it.
