Readers will enjoy this paranormal romantic romp.

In Chicago Anica Revere is a witch with a conscience. She adheres strictly to rules enforced by the Wizard Council enhanced by her own code of conduct. For instance, before dating anyone, she informs them up front she is a practicing witch though most scoff at her for joking; not realizing she is charmingly serious.

She breaks her rule of pre informing a date of her paranormal skills when she meets cute Jasper Danes. After three weeks of charming dates, they have an argument over his lying to her; leading to her exploding in anger. When he goes to kiss her, she ignites in fury casting a spell. She turns him into a cat; a violation of the use of magic that costs her witchcraft skills. She feels horrible especially when Jasper turns back to a human every midnight for a short spell. Making her feel worse is that he does not hate her for what she did to him; contrary wise he is attracted to the Chick with a Charm. The people who are expected to straighten out the mess are Dorcas and Ambrose (see OVER-HEXED and WILD & HEXY).

This is an amusing lighthearted charmer as Anica with remorse and Jasper with a Cheshire grin make a fine couple even if he has become her familiar rather than her lover. Although thin, the story line is fast-paced from the first spell to a Cha-Cha to Frankie Avalon's crooning symbolizing case closed as fans will enjoy this paranormal romantic romp.

    I Also Recommend:

For those of you who love a little supernatural mixed with romance you will love this book.

The plot is fun and interesting and the characters are young and vibrant. I hope that Vicki Thompson will continue writing more books along these lines. Many characters were introduced in Blonde with a Wand that she could spin off with and tell a story about them and their families. I would also enjoy reading what she would come up with if the couple were to have a family. I would like to see more Babes on Brooms series books.

I loved the story and you will too.

    New Series

I truly love the way this author writes. I had Miss Lewis-Thompson since her Nerd series started.. She is witty, clever, has the characters quick wittedness and all a round fun stories. Sometimes they keep you guessing, other times it's just grand fun!!!!

    awesome

I love this author so soooo much. Vicki Lewis Thompson is my absolute new favorite. I love her witch series. They are both romantic and hilarious. I also find them very realistic as if i already know these characters. She is very imaginative. I love the settings and the descriptions of the characters.

    Save your money

I generally enjoy the light hearted escapism in what I think of as summer beach reading. "Inhaling" a book is a great relaxer. However, I have found this book to not be the least engaging. The characters are not likeable (including the cat); the plot (so far) is predictable. I am trying to energize myself to finish it but I may end up donating it to the library before that; hopefully someone will enjoy it.

    I Also Recommend:

    A really, really great book!

This book was tons of fun. I don't usually read books about witches, I'm more into the vampire side of paranormal romance, but this book sounded cute so I decided to give it a try, and I don't regret it! Anica is a straight and narrow witch who never breaks the rules until she dates Jasper and finds out he's a player. She gets upset and turns him into a cat, except theres no spell to reverse it. So he moves in with her as a cat while they work together, along with her fun, witty sister, Lily, to figure out how to undo it. Jasper starts having different lengths of time where he changes back into a man, and during these times he and Anica start to fall in love. It's original, unpredictible and romantic and I reccommend it to anyone who likes a really good love story. I will def be reading all of Vicki Lewis Thompson's other books, and soon!

A totally new approach to witchcraft.

Here is an amazing story of a man's view of life, while he's in a cat's body! Can the witch turn him back?

Big fan of Vicki, this keeps up with all her works. Great characters, and a good humerous story. If you like paranormal romance, right up your alley.
