Blood and mud
The collection "Blood and Mud of Sahidiyat" is named after the period during which the writer lived in Upper Egypt, during which he wrote its stories, which begin with the story of Al-Bostaji, in which he relied on two dramatic lines: The struggle of Al-Qahri Al-Bostaji with the village mayor and the second line between the two young students, Jamila and Khalil, who have a love relationship that developed until they fell into sin, and Al-Bostaji is the bearer of fate and the witness to the tragedy. The second story: A story set in a prison, which represents an unequal relationship between humans, one type of high and one of low. They are the gypsies. The story of "Abu Fouda" has a habitual criminal hero. When he leaves, he is captured by a woman who tempts him to kill her husband under the temptation of sex. The story of a thief's life revolves around a young man from the countryside who abandoned his village after a woman to turn into a thief. The story of Dimitri's Café presents within the framework of a realistic description of what happens in a café. It is run by a Greek and is frequented by officials and employees, where different relationships and ideas arise. The story "Who is crazy?" Its hero is a young man from a family known for its intelligence, but he became crazy and engaged in writing reports to the Prime Minister proposing many things that only come from a crazy person. It calls for uplifting laughter. Until it ends with a human paradox.
