Overview

Sarah Dearly is adjusting to life as a fledgling vampire, satisfying her cravings at vampire-friendly blood banks. But when her fiancé Thierry takes a job with the Ring—the secret council in charge of keeping vampires in line—Sarah’s about to get more than a taste of danger…

Being engaged to a centuries-old master vampire can be challenging—especially when he takes a job with the Ring. Thierry’s in for fifty years of nonstop travel and deadly risk. It’s enough to make any woman reconsider the wedding…any woman except Sarah, that is.

Traveling to Las Vegas for his first assignment, they encounter a child beauty pageant contestant from hell, as well as a vampire serial killer leaving victims drained of blood, potentially exposing the existence of vampires to the whole world. But when Thierry’s truly ancient history comes back to haunt him, and he’s accused of a crime he didn’t commit, it’s up to Sarah to clear his name before their immortal lives come to an end.

Library Journal
When fledgling vampire Sarah Dearly's fiancé, master vampire Thierry de Bennecoeur, accepts a position with the Ring, the vampire council that makes certain the human world remains ignorant of vampires' existence, she accompanies him to Las Vegas—and, almost immediately, they face a vampire serial killer, a child vampire who participates in child beauty pageants, and several individuals whose knowledge of Thierry hints at a past filled with dark secrets. The sixth title in the "Immortality Bites" series begins a new story arc as Sarah and Thierry go global.

I have enjoyed this series. The author manages a deft touch with her combination of humor and danger. As unlikely as the basic plot may be, the characters are interesting enough to carry the story. This is an enjoyable read. Good fun

I read the immortality bites series and I loved them. So when I saw that Michelle Rowen carried on Sara Dearly's story I had to read it. I loved it! I can't wait to read the next one. If you haven't read the immortality bites series yet, you should before reading this series.

I read the other Immortality Bites series and found it interesting and fun to read. I re-read the first two books before starting on this one. I found this to be an interesting read that didn't dwell on the Sarah and Thierry story and added some interesting characters to the mix. While I loved the old characters, and hope some will make a reappearence at some point, I like the versitility this new format offers. Way to go Ms. Rowen! Here's to many more books that I can read with a light heart and enljoy as much as I did this one. As a side note, you don't have to read the first 5 Immortality Bites books, but it does provide a strong foundation and understanding to Rowens world of vampires. I encourage people to do this at some point, even if it is after reading this book.
