Meet the Author

I live in beautiful Queensland in Australia. I started writing in 2009 because I wanted to do something creative and haven't stopped since! I have two series of books:

The Heller series (first book Heller - free!) features the frequently outlandish adventures of security officer, Tilly Chalmers, and her complicated relationship with her beautiful, mysterious and intense boss, Heller. There will be seven books in total in this series.

The Little Town series (first book Blood Ties - free!) features police officer, Tess Fuller, and her struggle to survive a long-standing vendetta with the feral Bycraft family and at the same time manage the tense relationship between her new partner, Finn Maguire, and her boyfriend, Jake Bycraft. There will be five books in total in this series.

My author dream is to one day write a short story (which for me will probably be about 50,000 words!) where Tilly & Heller meet Tess & Finn. What a story that would be! Maybe over the end-of-year break???

I hope you enjoy reading my books as much as I enjoyed writing them! I'd love to hear your feedback, so why not email me at: jdn.author@gmail.com

    Can I give it 10 stars? LOVE...LOVE...LOVE!!!!!!!!

This is the 1111 page, book three of the Little Town series and I can honestly tell you that this series keeps getting better and better. Finn makes you purr (just like Heller from JD Nixon's Heller series) when you get glimpses of his hidden playful, romantic side. I know I am not the only one that wants to read more about Finn's sexy side. Tess is again caught up with the ever present Bycraft family abuse which continues to put a strain on her relationship with Jake. Personally, I think Tess is either in denial or she might have taken one too many blows to the head by the Bycraft's over the years for her to be so blind to Finn's feelings for her. Especially, after the "kiss" conversation and some of Finn's comments. While Tess is starting to notice Finn in more ways than she did before, she needs a push. I sure hope Blood Tears, book 4, will be Tess' awakening and get her to finally see the "real" Jake and Finn. This book will make you laugh and cry. JD Nixon is just about to start the 5th book in the Heller series (another must read) and then she will work on Blood Tears. Both expected to be released in 2013. Those of us addicted to JD's storytelling find the waiting very painful. JD's fans are going to be suffering from a new withdrawal condition called JDitis! The first books in both of JD's series are free and the others are just $2.99! Well worth it! Make sure you read these in order though or you will be lost.

I waited, waited & waited some more for this book to be released. I was not disappointed! This was actually the book that made me get invested in the series. I was a HUGE Heller fan (which if you haven't read - you must!), but after this book I can see what everyone else was talking about. Finn and Tess continue in their quest to balance life, work & their love lives. Villans remain villanous, but unlikely heroes make an appearance too. Don't want to give too much away, but can't recommend this book enough. As well as ALL of JD's books & now I'm back to waiting for book 4!

I have read all of JD Nixon's books and can't wait for her next book. I have one suggestion for Ms. Nixon......please quit your day job and write full time. We need these books to come out quicker. I would not care which series you work on next as I love them both. You are a talented writer and I hope you continue to entertain us with your books.

    Highly Recommended!

OMG, just what wont those crazy Bycrafts do? What other trouble can Tess get into now, when will she realize that the Sage does have a thing for her, when will he realize that he just needs to dump that crazy whinny girlfriend of his and just tell Tess that he cares for her more that she realizes?
Can't wait for the next book to come out!!!

    LOVE JD AND LT!!!!

When I first stumbled across JD Nixon, I thought Heller was the stronger of the two series. But now I am totally vested in Little Town and Tess and Sarge's story. Ooops! I almost wrote something that would give the story away. Let's just say I hope it's the worst vacay ever!

I enjoyed this series and will read the next installment as well

I enjoyed this series and will read the next installment as well. I like the relationship with Tessie and Finn and hope the writer does not cross the imaginary line between boss and subordinate with them, it would not help the story and to me, would be terribly inappropriate to the overall foundation of the story she has built. Tessie seems to need the honest friendship and nurturing of Finnn, not a sexual relationship and that would surely compromise their work relationship. I like the way the writer has Tess wonder about the appropriateness of some of Finn's intentions, it seems realistic that she would do that. What I don't like about this series is the brutality Tess suffers at the hands of the Bycrafts. To me, that is over the top and almost had me putting the books down more than once, too much, too graphic. and too unrealistic, those beatings of a female cop would never, ever happen, even in our mixed up world...I hope the writer tones that down ALOT. All in all, an interesting read.

I got increasingly annoyed with her continued relationship with jake, she comes across as a smart strong woman accept when it came to jake: very annoying, no woman is that dumb

J.D. Nixon has been my favorite author since reading the first B

J.D. Nixon has been my favorite author since reading the first Blood book free on my Nook! I have been anxiously awaiting this book and it doesn't disappoint. The writing is just so different somehow from most other books, and makes you really live the story. I couldn't put it down. Way to go J.D.!!!

    Wanted: A Thousand Pages More

Not as many belly laughs in this one, but still just as entertaining and suspenseful as all the other books in the Little Town series. I really enjoyed how emotionally vulnerable JD made Tess in this novel. As always, the ending leaves the reader yearning for a thousand pages more!

JD Nixon excels once again! I Can't Get Enough of Tess, Finn & even the evil Bycrafts. JD's character development, style, edgy humor just can't be beat. This is the 3rd installment of the Little Big Town series and is worth every sleep deprived moment endured.
New to JD Nixon? You should start with her free books "Blood Ties" the first in series and "Heller" the first in the Heller series. Both are exceptional.

    Wonderful book

Jd Nixon does it again with her wonderful writing. There are
moments of pathos, laughter, tears, and the fierce need to yell at Tess and Finn...Go for it already! You feel as if you have stepped back into Little Town like you have never left. The wait was well worth it but I can't wait for the next book for both series. Take the time to read both series. You won't be disappointed.

    Not the best one.

I loved the first two in the series. But found this one boring and found myself skimming over a lot of it for maybe the first half of the book. Just not nearly as well written.
