Overview

Trust is a dangerous business.

Some people still call Kat Redding by her hunter name: Lady Death. But she's not eager to see more violence brought to her doorstep. The neverending tide of hungry supes and vicious humans doesn't change the math—sooner or later Kat's one-vamp battle against the nightmares that infest Columbus is going to leave her dead. And she has innocent people—well, a werewolf and a demon-summoner—depending on her now.

But when a rogue werewolf who's opted out of the bloodbath is found crucified and mutilated with toxic silver, Kat knows she'll be tangling again with the dangerous Pureblood murderers of the cult of the Left Hand. She already has an undead countess blackmailing her into taking out the city's garbage and a demon playing with her head. Add to that her serious suspicions about changes at the house of her uneasy ally Jonathan Alucard, werewolf denmaster, and Kat might have finally gotten in danger so deep, not even Lady Death can survive. . .

Kat Redding, aka Lady Death, is a vampire in love with a werewolf, beholden to a demon, and struggling against her compulsion to drink blood. Dressed in black leather with sword and pistol at her side, Kate is out to assassinate the most evil supes (supernatural beings). Her latest problem is that the Left Hand, a religious group virulently opposed to all supes, has ritually executed a werewolf. This werewolf belonged to the Luna Cult, led by Jonathan, Kat's love interest. Kat must then choose between saving herself and stopping the killers. VERDICT Kat's internal conflict over being a vampire and her state of denial about loving a werewolf produce plenty of tension, which drives a compelling story line. As with E.S. Moore's previous novels with Kat Redding Blood From A Silver Cross is truly outstanding. As always the story line runs smoothly and there is plenty of action and excitement in the novel. The main character, Kat Redding, is excellent, as are all the main and secondary characters as well. I am so looking forward to his next noverl with Kat Redding. E.S. Moore is now one of my favorite authors

I didn't see the twist and turns in the plot. It is so fun. I can't wait to see what happens.
