BLOOD STAINED: A Lucy Guardino FBI Thriller 4.6 out of 5 based on 0 ratings. 20 reviews.

"Blood stained" is the eagerly awaited sequel to "Snake Skin" featuring Special Agent Lucy Guardino. Following the events depicted in the opening novel, agent Guardino is forced to take a more traditional supervisory role, assigning most of the field work to her subordinates. Being the dogged, determined agent that she is, this is always going to be a real challenge. When she receives a potentially threatening letter, casting doubt over a case that she investigated 4 years earlier, Lucy simply has to personally look into the matter. Lucy suspects that she may know who has sent the letter and together with new member of the team - Postal services agent Jenna Galloway she heads back to New Hope to re-examine the old case. The pace is electrifying, as Lucy is forced to delve back into her past, at the case that marked the start of her meteoric rise through the ranks of the FBI. The reader is taken on an intense, emotional roller coaster of a ride as we are offered a tantalising glimpse at what makes our intrepid heroine tick. You'll experience the whole gamut of human emotion throughout the book. At times you'll be biting your nails at the edge of your seat. At others you'll want to cry or laugh or simply breathe a sigh of relief. One thing that is certain is that you won't want to put the book down until the very end. This really is an exceptional novel, delivering so much more than just an intriguing crime thriller. There is a wonderful depth to the characters that draws you in and leaves you feeling that you have actually lived and experienced the story rather than simply read it. The opening book in the series "Snake Skin" was outstanding and fully deserved the 5 star rating that I gave it, but with this second volume the author, C.J. Lyons has really raised the bar and left us salivating, desperate for the next instalment. This is certainly the best crime thriller of the year and arguably the millennium - well at least until the next Lucy Guardino novel. Let's just hope and pray that we don't have to wait too long.

This was such a good book. I had to force myself to put it down so I could do other things. This book captivated me from beginning to end; the story kept you wanting to read more and once I reached the end, I am now looking forward to reading the next book in this series. One thing that really struck me as unique among e-books is that this book contained no mistakes. What a treat it is to read a correctly formatted book with no spelling/grammatical errors. For me, that made this book a real treasure.

This is a great second book with Lucy Guidino as the heroin. Ms. Lyons keeps the reader intrigued as you can't wait to find out how Lucy will be able to solve the case before more people are hurt. Ms. Lyons has a great way of writing characters that you can't help but relate to. I can't wait to read more adventures of Lucy.

A great story by this author involving a kidnapper, rapist, torturer and murderer who uses children to get his victims. He then hides them away to do his dirty deeds until he is done with them and murders them. There is a boy who takes children from families who are unable to gie the children their support, care and guidance. FBI Agent Lucy Guardino is in charge of finding the perpetrator and bringing him to justice. I recommend this book to all mystery readers.

I'm excellent writing style. Edge of Your seat, stay up all night plot. Can a child overcame the Evil he has been raised to consider normal? Or will he backslide to win his father s approval? Warning. Don't think you can put this book down before you reach the end. ;-)

Unlike her first book, this continuation of the Lucy Guardino FBI series is clearly of the Young Adult genre. The story begins slowly, then picks up the pace about half-way through. Unfortunately, the action sequences are improbable and simplistic. The story ends abruptly with dangling loose ends. Not the author's best work, IMO.
