Dangers in paradise...

Hawaiian Heroes, Book 3

On Hawaii's Big Island to supervise a photo shoot for her sporting goods company, Bella Moran is looking forward to relaxing with her newfound family. As the island works its magic on her Ho'omalu blood, though, something strange begins to happen.

In her dreams, she is at one with the untamed rainforest, able to command the trees and flowers with a terrifying power. Unfortunately, she finds no rest in her waking hours, dealing with the sexy, boy-in-a-man-suit star of the shoot.

Joel Girand, star of his own TV adventure show, signed on for a relaxing weekend showcasing tropical camping gear. He never expected to fall for an uptight executive type like Bella, but there's something about her lush native beauty that excites the wild places in his soul.

In Joel's arms, Bella feels her civilized veneer peeling away. But when it becomes clear someone with a grudge against her family is using deadly force to sabotage the shoot, Bella's frightening dream power manifests in the very clear light of day. And Joel must decide if his heart will let him stand back and let her sacrifice everything-even her life-for her native home.

Warning: A wahine who'll stop at nothing to claim her man. Steamy interlude in the tropical forest, including illicit use of flowers.

Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher
“Cathryn Cade has taken the lush scenery of Hawaii and embellished it with a new twist on the legend of Pele. Readers will root for Melia while wishing for a hero like Malu.”
—RT Book Reviews on Walking in Fire

“Cade shows respect for the legends that surround the Kilauea Volcano. Cade has created a very sensual tale in a current setting, with paranormal undertones. Her fans will not be disappointed.”
—Library Journal on Walking in Fire

”An engrossing story that will have you turning the pages quickly. I adored the characters and the plot. I highly recommend Rolling in the Deep if you are looking for a romantic Hawaiian story.”
—Sizzling Hot Book Reviews
Library Journal
It was supposed to be a simple photo shoot. Bella had a couple of hot models, a buxom makeup artist, and Joel, the aggravating star of his own adventure show. She didn't count on troubles with the photographer, or finding Joel so frustrating, much less starting to feel as if the island was trying to tell her something. VERDICT The plot of this latest from Cade has more twists and turns than a jungle vine…but overall it's worth the trip. The tropical locale, zippy plotting, and floral creativity really warm up a cold winter's day. [Xpress Reviews, 1/11/13.]—Emily Thompson, SUNY at Oswego Lib.

Romantic suspense with a paranormal twist.

Romantic suspense with a paranormal twist. I truly believe that this may just be the best of this series so far. Bella Moran recently discovered that she is a member of the Ho’omalu ohana and is discovering she may also have the Ho’omalu connection to the islands. She is on Hawaii’s Big Island to supervise a photo shoot for her sporting goods company. The center of the photo shoot is TV adventure show star Joel Girand. The chemistry between the two is volatile and fun to watch. They are tried and tested when strange things happen while on location. Can Bella find strength in her heritage and will Joel finally figure out what it is to love? I love the location and mystery of this series and hope that Ms. Cade finds a way to continue it beyond the three girlfriends. I for one would like to see Frank and or Zane find their others.
